The best Green Lantern / Hal Jordan moment was the first 3 issues of the New 52 reboot which had Sinestro (who was a GL) basically showing Hal what a gently caress up he is and ends with Hal getting disintegrated by the Yellow Central Battery. Had the book actually killed him like that and continued focus on Sinestro I'd still be reading it.

Age of Apocalypse Kitty has always had the claws. I thought they were strap on and not retractable though. I assumed that she fashioned them herself so she could fight like Wolverine.

They are strapped on to her wrist. She still has the phase though things mutation, she just fights and kills with the claws.

It's from Secret Love. It's fun.

They both require being able to do something so fast that someone moving faster than you can see not realize what you're doing and compensate, but I'll at least grant that coating the ground in teflon is a little more plausible from the perspective of "maybe he wouldn't realize what was happening."

Snyder at least tried to sell it it by pointing out that setting up that particular defense against Flash took billions, is completely automatic since Bruce would never react on time and was the bulk of the budget for the suit since Flash would otherwise take him down before Bruce had a chance to even acknowledge it.
