The Rockets have been like 7th in the west in SRS for a while. Their pythag record hasn't been that great.

I love that Smith is getting blamed for this.

It's a crying shame that so little of his playing time is saved on film. I'd truly love to sit down and just watch that 100 point game from start to finish.

It kind of reminds me of Kobe later on in the Dwight year. When he put his mind to it he really made the offense work.

New Raptors Open Gym thing is up, and it shows the staff during the Bruno draft. Interesting to watch:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaKSFSU1fAA&t=240s

It appears Masai was the "two years away from being two years away" source, and they really wanted Not Bruno (Tyler Ennis, probably) but settled for him.

"The superfluous, a very necessary thing"
Masai says he was hearing that other teams might pick him before their own 2nd rd pick.

They seemed to be pretty aggressively trying to trade either down or up.

The environment in that draft room seemed a bit healthier than in Sacramento's.

Seems like a really good thing to leak if your real goal is to ensure that the great PJ Hairston falls to 26

I think it's their FA status, maybe?

Also, Bruno crying and apologizing after getting dunked on and having a bad summer league game is basically the most adorable and heartbreaking thing in the world.

I was trying to figure it out. I think it's contract related. I will watch again but I think blue is expiring only cause Greg Monroe was in blue.

I also just really like Masai shrugging his shoulders and saying "wasn't our first pick, might not work out, but hey, whatever". So refreshing and different from NIK ROCKS and unwavering belief in Their Guy.
