i had a disc of ffviii as a kid that hardlocked if selphie's intro cutscene played so i got like 20 hours out of it playing triple triad i'm thinking about romhacking the game

a space-wasting card is actually a cool idea b/c you'd have to sacrifice a card to have it and start at a disadvantage, but if you could leverage it right it'd be a powerful tool
