So Meltzer said that letting Bryan win the Rumble would be going to the well one too many times for Wrestlemania... But hasn't John Cena been in like 8 or 9 back to back Wrestlemania heavyweight title matches? I just find that very  if that's the deciding factor.

I'm making myself feel better by watching stuff on the Network from Bryan's heel run with the WHC. Watching him lording being champion over the likes of the Big Show with his big poo poo-eating grins is really cathartic now.

Austin essentially won every Rumble during the attitude era that he was healthy for (even though he technically didn't win '99, he was final two, was the focus of the whole match, and got the WM title shot soon after.) Cena was in a title match or the final match on the card every year from '05-'13. If they wanted Bryan as their guy, they wouldn't have any problem putting him in the main event back-to-back years.
