Every sports website I go to has, over the last 3-4 years, had a couple of redesigns each and in each of them it introduces more blank space and reduces the readability and amount of content. And they probably cost tens of thousands.

It's because the latest design fad is to attempt to achieve consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms. Five years ago websites looked great on desktops and laptops and horrible on phones and tablets (? did they exist yet); today the reverse is true.

Has anyone subscribed to ESPN's crazy expensive CWC streaming package? Even though it's close to the same price for 49 ODIs as it is for 2400+ MLB games I'm probably going to sign up anyway.

Does anyone happen to know if I could share the login credentials with my brother and both watch at the same time? I know the coupons thread sets up MLB.tv sharing groups every season and each account likely has 3-5 people streaming from it at any given time. It would certainly push me over the fence about buying it, but I'm guessing I won't find out if sharing like that works until I've already bought the drat thing.

According to their FAQ you cannot. Only one device at a time can be used for viewing. For $99. Ninety nine.

I still find it fascinating that islands separated by a few miles have absolutely no sporting crossover. Cuba? Baseball. No cricket. Dominican Republic? Baseball. No cricket. St. Kitts? Cricket. No baseball. Jamaica? Cricket. No baseball.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. They have cricket islands and baseball islands in the same way that England has cricket towns and rugby towns. One does dominate depending where you go, but Jamaicans don't find baseball completely foreign.

I can't watch on weekdays so the "one-a-day during the week, two-a-day on weekends" scheduling doesn't bother me too much.

I would complain about having to wait six days between England matches but that would suggest I enjoy watching England play cricket.

The middle bats have been very good for Windies once again, but if their bowling and fielding against Ireland is any indication they could still crash hilariously.

So how bad is it for Pakistan for their lead off man to go out on the 2nd ball? Are the better batters at the top of the lineup or spreadout?

They still have competent batsmen in positions 3-8 but when you lose wickets this early your aggressive batsmen who should be batting the last 10 overs will probably have to come in earlier and bat more defensively. In other words losing early wickets always has a knock-on effect on your overall run rate.
