August 13th, 1963

The man eyed up the drawbridge with growing nerves. On the other side stood a portcullis guarded by a man on each end. The medieval armour stood in stark contrast to the rifles they held in their hands. His host was not a man without his intricacies. He stifled a gulp and began to watched the drawbridge descend into place. He had operated with maniacs before. It was to be expected in his line of work. However, he'd never worked with a man quite like this before. Checking his special gun was firmly attached in its holster he walked across the bridge and under the looming gate. You could never know what to expect from these types of meetings but if things went south he would be prepared.

The castle within was resplendent in its art and finery. His escort led him down stone corridors covered with lush carpet. Statues and portraits lined the walls. He'd always heard tales of the life of luxury his host lived in but to see it with his own eyes was another thing. It was all right for some, he was lucky just to hold on to a lair for a week. Not for the first time he wondered why a lowly career criminal had been invited to such a gathering. Finally they arrived at a thick wooden door. His escort stepped aside as it swung open.

“You're late.” The voice from beyond was cutting and clinical.

“You didn't hire me for my punctuality,” he replied, walking up towards the throne that sat in the centre of the room. Sitting in that throne was a man encased head to toe in armour, swathed with a green cloak. Behind a mask of iron, his brown eyes narrowed as he sized his guest up and down. The man tensed up, preparing for any sign of trouble. Until with a nod Victor Von Doom dropped his guard.

“True,” Doom agreed, “I hired you for one very specific reason. A shared enemy. One we all share.” For the first time the man realised they were not alone in the room. Others stood off to the side. He recognised them although they had never worked together before. They each had their talents but none could match his own weapon.

“So what's the plan, Doc?” he asked.

“It's very simple, my new friend. We kill the Fantastic Four.”

“Music to my ears. And how do we do that?”

He couldn't know but he sensed Doom was smiling behind his mask.

Welcome to Fantastic Four Mafia, a game for 19 players set during the 1960s era of Marvel's popular long-running comic franchise, the Fantastic Four! There won't be any special gimmicks and the setup will be fairly standard although I'm starting to get a bit more experimental. This game will stick to basic mafia rules:

Day phase will be 3 days, night phase will be 1 day. Day phase may get shorter towards the endgame
Lynches will require a majority vote
No out-of-thread communication unless you're scum
No quoting mod PMs
No fake day actions
The thread will be closed at night
No talking after the hammer
Nuff' said

Important Note: I want everyone who plays this game to enjoy it and that's reliant on everyone else's involvement in the game so I will not be accepting signups from people who consistently fail to participate in games they have signed up for. I know this might sound harsh but I want people to be able to join knowing they can expect a game with good participation.
