So how does this work?
If you want to participate, send me a list of your 20 favorite active NBA players. This means that whoever you have on your ballot must have played in at least one game during the 2014-2015 season, or be expected to do so. You can take the selection process as seriously as you want, this is all in good fun (please note how the thread title says "favorite" instead of "best". This will probably be important later on).

You can either pm me your list or send it to wheelchairmosh@gmail.com

Here's a template for your list, please send it to me in this format so I don't have to count whether everyone really put 20 guys on their ballot.

The list will be tabulated as follows: The top player on your list gets 20 points, the second one gets 19, all the way down to #20, who gets 1 point. If you send in an incomplete list it will damage your top choices. For example, the top guy on a list only counting 15 guys gets 15 points instead of 20.

Can I stuff my ballot with all my favorite role players and garbage time superstars?
Sure! Like I said, you can take this as seriously as you want to.

What about guys who are injured or playing in China or whatever?
We'll count them as long as they're expected to make it back onto an NBA roster reasonably soon. These will be judged on a case by case basis.

Can I be an extra special snowflake and vote for WNBA players?
You can if you want to, just be warned that in this case I'll be flipping a coin and may or may not deduct your highest-placed actual NBA player the amount of points you gave him.

What's the deadline?
Last time a lot of people said they missed the thread so I'm putting this one up early to give you guys plenty of time. The cutoff is February 12 after Bulls vs Cavs ends, I'll be posting the countdown over the All-Star break and plan to make this an annual thing after forgetting about it last year.

Boris Diaw. The poor man's Magic Johnson. The round mound of not many rebounds. Along with Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul, Boris Diaw is one of the leagues most effective players in sticking out their rear end to make room in the post. Boris Diaw has the league's slowest three point release but he shoots them at .400. He's a swiss army knife off the Spur's bench who's fantastic at nothing but good at everything (except maybe running fast). Every movement, every dribble, every shot is draped in elegance. He's not the only Frenchman in the NBA, but he's the only one where you can feel his French-ness in his every action. His style is slow, cerebral and regal. Like the fine wine his country produces his game has aged impeccably. There are very few players who give me as much joy as Diaw on a per possession basis.

Yeah, I'd really like to keep the rules simple without bringing the weird wrinkles of NBA contracts and caps into it.

Reggie was way better/cooler in college and I'm not sure Dev even counts as an NBA player. I love that Reggie has managed to have a long NBA career even though he's an undersized not terribly athletic dude whose only basketball skill is being really loving good at boxing out.
