pretty sure people have figured out who won at this point lol just kidding it's this guy #1 Steph Curry (434 points) last time we did this: #6 Made 31 out of 43 lists, highest voted #1 He pretty much ran away with this from the first day. Dirk looked like he might have a chance for a bit but it was never particularly close. Six #1 votes, a new record in total points and he only missed 12 lists. He loving dominated this one.

I can't believe I left Boozer off of my list; what a horrible oversight. In retrospect, I wish I had been an even bigger homer. Pau deserves better than to be the lesser Gasol. Make him a team ambassador like Pippen, or a player coach like Scalabrine. Hinrich, Deng and Gordon were the Bulls team that actually got me back into Basketball after the early 00s dark ages. For that Hinrich will always own regardless of his playing skill(bad)

Lauren Jackson is the single best thing to happen to basketball in Australia and gets my number one vote every time. Largely because of her, Australia has three Olympic Silver medals and a few FIBA World Championship medals, including a gold, none of which we had before LJ. (Combined number of Olympic and FIBA World Championship medals held by the Australian Men's basketball team: zero.) She is largely responsible for the sport still being remotely relevant in this country, because we tend to lose interest in sports that we're bad at on an international level.

I don't even care if you keep voting for her (as long as next year I don't get a bunch of other ballots where people put their basketball lady crushes at the top), it's just a bit of a dick move of you to then go "oh I totally should have put some guy I don't really like in there to eat the penalty, can I still change my list?" That's why the rule's gonna change to random guys getting their points reversed next time.

That recent Atlanta game was the first time I've seen him play since he left though, appearantly he learned how to shoot at some point? Some form of innate masochism, reinforced by decades of being a Pirates fan, has led me to value "actually being good at the sport" very low in selecting my favorite sports players.
