I feel like ever since morrowind I just know so much more about the culture of the dunmer it feels right?

I'll just come out and say it; I'm the guy that almost always plays a Dunmer in Morrowind, Imperial in Oblivion and Nord in Skyrim. Although oddly enough, my first character in all three games was Argonian. I think I just like the idea of being a Wizard Lizard.

Listen sometimes you need to be a Vampire Lord that can use Hircine's Ring to transform into a Werewolf too. It's just a thing that needs to happen, you know?

It's why I find Wabbajack confusing. If I wanted to automate the game, I could just go back to Cookie Clicker (with my optimum purchase browser script and autoclicker). I guess finding something named Wabbajack confusing is appropriate, though. Wabbajack.

It doesn't matter who my character starts as in ES games as they always end up being a sword/mace/axe and board fighter as it's the build that required the least amount of busywork and micro. Sure I might do some spells, bows and alchemy on the side but it always comes back to hitting stuff with a lump of metal from behind a shield.

As fun as alchemy is it's wildly impractical to always be applying poison because of menu fuckery. Same with swapping through spell lists just to stealth around or whatever when normal crouch stealthing works better 99% of the time.

Yeah if you don't use that setting each stupid one off dungeon is like about 3 tombs of varn except more maze like. Less radiation damage and star trek jokes though.

My current character was born and raised in the Imperial City, and his parents were extremely loyal to the empire and raised him to view Imperials and "civilized" Dunmer as the only people who matter. Going to Morrowind has shown him that his parents were wrong about a lot of things but he can't shake his loyalty to the empire (which works as a way to get me to play the Imperial Legion/Cult since I usually don't touch those factions).

It was my intention to follow the main quests so I could get all the shout powers but now some ghosts gave me a farm. You can plant and farm alchemical ingredients so it seems like a must have if you want to do an alchemist build.

this new ice spell added in the anniversary edition is broken as hell. everything around you gets encased in ice and falls down so you can can just charge into a group of enemies and keep them permastunned on the ground while you beat on them.

I always liked to think that the badass gravel-voice if the dunmer in TES3 is a “fashion choice,” like masculine posturing run amok until everyone is chain smoking skooma to get gravellier.

I think the cannon explanation is they all have hosed up throats from inhaling ash all their lives, but that doesn't really explain mainland MW dunmer sounding like a middle aged truck stop waitress.

I think...I think I've finally pinned my biggest problem with Skyrim. The one that hurts my enjoyment the most. Not the terrible guilds or the nothing main plot, not the lack of my beloved spears, not the gutting of the magic... All the light armor sucks. Just absolutely hideous. I keep wanting to do a light armor build because they move faster and have the objectively better perk tree but oh my god everything but Glass and Chitin is so loving gross to look at. Just boring rear end leathers and furs. At least the new Redguard light armor looks good.
