I still think the tornado is a metaphor and not really like an actual tornado that's actually going to destroy the town. I don't think I need to spoil that since the tornado is in the first seconds of the game.

Might be an actual tornado. I feel like Chloe's dad's prepping is sorta foreshadowing, that and the actual perceivable change in the weather at the end. Doesn't have to make any more sense than a girl randomly being able to turn back time.

The real question is, which way is less disappointing?

I am not American, but I've consumed enough American pop culture to know that every character in the game is a stereotype from your regular high school drama. Like I said, I'm sure they're aiming to subvert a lot of things, but so far it's just too clear cut.

The first episode of Telltale's Walking Dead did a way better job at establishing characters without reserving too much to classic zombie apocalypse tropes. There are hints of character development in Life is Strange, but that's it, just hints. Most characters have literally zero characterisation, even though Max is supposed to know them well.

I was on my fresher year when I was 18.

As for Warren, for now I think he's just being too much of a try-hard to get Max to like him than actually being malicious, but I do hope eventually Max can tell him to lay off a bit, regardless of how she feels about him. She does admit he's pretty cute after you help him with the science experiment, but I wouldn't say she's admitted to actually liking him.

Brooke seems really into him, and seems to resent Max a bit as a result. I hope Max can pawn him off on her and get rid of that jealousy, 'cause my strat thus far has been straight out of Mean Girls: befriend everyone and slowly poison them against the popular girl.

This keeps coming up. Whales use a combination of magnetic poles and the sun to navigate the ocean. There was an eclipse when there shouldn't have been and with everything going crazy-go-nuts in the environment I doubt it's a stretch that their sense of polar north got scrambled; they probably got mixed up and beached themselves. The mass die-off of the birds was foreshadowing of Mother Nature going off its tits, so was the freak snow, and this is too.

In regards to Max's power, does Jefferson know about it? It seems to me he might. There's no reason to drug Max first then shoot Chloe otherwise. He easily could have just shot Chloe and then held Max at gunpoint while he drugged her.

Jefferson didn't necessarily know Chloe, she wasn't part of his plan. He already had a binder for Max though.

Think that David's gonna find the mystery board in Chloe's room and figure poo poo out. Otherwise it's hard to imagine how things will play out.

Perhaps this would have justified him if not for two things.

1) Warren didn't know anything aside from the fact that Nathan is a dick and a druggie. Not a good person, but seriously he was on the ground crying and begging for mercy. Continuing the beatdown is hardly a "redeeming" action.

2) Nathan is really really mentally ill. He needs to be locked up for his and everyone else's safety and be given the treatment that his father is refusing to allow him to have, not beaten to a pulp.

Nathan beats the poo poo out of Warren in ep 1 man :cmon: he took him to the ground and everything.

Edit: Since this has already been noted, i will expand on it: Warren doesn't know Nathan is insane. All he knows is Nathan is a shitheel preppy boy who's been bullying him for months at the least and beat his rear end a few days ago.

One of the sections of heavy rain had you driving the wrong way down a busy highway trying not to crash via QuickTime events. The thing was, there was no fail state for the event, if you failed or even just set the controller down your character still dodged all the cars and got to the end.

The trick was that you as the player didn't know what mattered and what didn't. I think this will be very similar. Not a great replay value, but when you make your choices the choices feel important to you even if they ultimately don't change the plot of the game.

Props for dontnod for managing that.

Nothing Ethan did mattered at all since Madison and Jayden solve the mystery parallel to his own stupid exploits.
