Episode 2 is pretty great. I like it.

I was very happy that I managed to stop Kate from killing herself, but I was extremely pissed when I noticed I forgot to water my plant. Also, what with the creepy binder thing both episodes at the end, I'm starting to think that Nathan or someone is a straight-up serial killer.

All-in-all, I'm excited for Episode 3.

Have Warren attempt the experiment once, then go ask the teacher who will tell you what chemical to use. After the experiment is successful, there will be a photo option.

In terms of the three-way choice at the end, I chose Mr. Jefferson. For Nathan's choice, the principal suspended me probably because I've been choosing a lot of anti-authority options. I didn't want to blame security guy because I had no proof that what he was doing was absolutely wrong. I mean he admits to being aggressive and mean, but I don't really think he's actually a bad guy. Mr. Jefferson was clearly in the wrong as a teacher. Kate opened up to him shortly before her suicide attempt and any high school teacher should immediately recognize what a cry for help looks like. His callous attitude toward her later when talking to Max showed that Mr. cool-guy-teacher is still kind of an rear end in a top hat. What he said to Max about Kate was just so heinous that I lost all respect for him.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Mr. Jefferson had some sort of sexual relationship with Victoria and then broke it off because she was thinking he actually wanted to be with her when in reality he just wanted to gently caress his student. That's why she's so upset and why she hates Max so much because he pays more attention to Max now than her.

Funny. I blamed Nathan, but he suspended Nathan because I had squeezed evidence out of Kate because she trusted me a lot. I think there's more depth and different states for each scenario than people expect.

I cant wait for a few more episodes to come out/the series to finish and try a second playthrough, where I'll be able to see just how many consequences everything causes.

I'm curious to see what will happen if you say no to that or to going to the party because it seems like you're just saying no to extra content.

Although, I just remembered that That one black dude who's name I can't remember mentions you should go, and Max mentions that it sounds like a lead up to some cruel joke. He says it's never like that, but it turns out that a far worse version of that is what happened to Kate. Maybe bad poo poo happens if you get invited and don't manage to get people to like you?

His RV is parked outside the cafe. You can go try to walk over there and his dog will bark at you. He's wearing the same hat he has on in the cinematic and it looks like he's trying to nap or something. Also the cafe in general is a far larger scene than you'd think. You can talk to everyone in the cafe except two people, and there's three people outside, two of which have fairly large conversation trees for a one-off character.

One complaint I have is that the narrative facts we know are clearly meant to make characters like David, Frank, and even Nathan to be ambiguous, but the voice acting and script are often so at odds with that it becomes hard to seriously think of them as not being villains.

I don't think them being hosed up people is supposed to be ambiguous, I think it's supposed to keep you guessing because it seems like everyone has a deep dark secret or is a hosed up weirdo or whatever. Like all good mysteries, it's trying to give you multiple suspects that are all equally likely.

I'm just worried that they've set up all these cool things to figure out, but there won't be enough time in Episode 4 and 5 to finish it all. Maybe Epsiode 5 will be extra-long, though?

This game doesn't make me feel sad, mostly. Then again I saved Kate on the first try so I guess the Ep 3 ending was the only Feels moment so far, even if I kept joking to friends about how this game was going to turn out like The Butterfly Effect and then it did.

No, no, no, you're not supposed to crack it open, you're supposed to karate chop it with your ghostly vines, then it will tell you the future.

I'm honestly surprised that this game hasn't made a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure reference already considering personal spirits actually exist in-universe and Max can move within the frozen time.

Same. Can't believe they haven't referenced a totally out of the ballpark human being cartoon series that shares none of the themes, ideas, or settings.

That trailer was non-stop dread and I'm starting to think this might end up like the director's cut of The Butterfly Effect. In case you don't know and don't care to have it spoiled: Protagonist keeps making things worse, travels all the way back to the womb and kills himself with his own umbilical cord. Man, writing it down it's a lot dumber than I remembered; hopefully the devs can do better than that. Then again, anything revolving around Max having to sacrifice her life - literally or figuratively - would feel like a cliché, so I have no idea what they can do (beside a happy ending, of course).

This whole game so far has me thinking it's the hipster indie game version of it. That movie's better than it sounds BTW for anyone who hasn't watched it.

First, let me congratulate you on being smarter than all those nerds. Way to go. Now, feel free to replace the word "universe" with "fictitious world" or "made-up place" or "imaginary setting", whichever you think would not be indicative of an obsession.

Point is this make-believe dimension has some weird poo poo going on and exploring playing through it as Max has been interesting and fun and worth the 9€ I've paid. The devs mentioned a potential thematic sequel, so they seem interested in keeping telling stories in this fake reality where unnatural events take place and I, for one, would be interested in playing through those.

You are very cool my man
