It's a shame the game never got a proper release outside of Japan. It's better than Secret of Mana, and co-op adventure RPGs are such a rarity. It was the height of the Mana series and none of the games afterwards were any good.

Evermore was cool but the fact that the dog couldn't be controlled by a 2nd player and the fact that your alchemy required you to collect materials to use it got annoying after awhile.

Square is to the point where all the 2D final fantasies are remastered and all the Dragon Quest games are remastered. they can't make anymore re-releases of their flagship old games. So they'll have to start picking the lesser ones.

The first is seriously like a two minute fix in a hex editor for some reason and the second is just you being a scrub there aren't any good alchemy spells that you can't just buy 99 of the reagents for

Back when imports were cheap and plentiful I wound up importing Seiken Densetsu 2 only to find Secret of Mana later for around 15 bucks. I should have gone with 3, since I already had Earthbound/Mother 2, Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 5, Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Evermore, Paladin's Quest, YS 3, Super Mario RPG, Bahamut Lagoon, Dragon Quest 5, Dragon Quest 6, Shin Megami tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, Shin Megami Tensei if...,Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and Final Fantasy Mythic Quest. Terranigma was already pretty pricey back then.

Yea terranigma is a really great game that could use a little love. What company owns it even at this point? you could probably just buy it and resell it dirt cheap on a nintendo classics disc
