The Nintendo 64 was the primary gift for my 8th birthday, and for many months the only game I would play day in and day out was Super Mario 64. I think I've memorized the layout for each level, I probably have all three Bowser stages burned into my muscle memory.

Think probably Space Harrier if spritey 3d counts. Mario 64 is the first one I really remember as being a distinctly different experience than 2d gaming though. Like the day I got an n64 I remember starting that fucker up and, like, feeling my brain change to accommodate it.

i dont remember the name i thought it was a mechwarrior one but i guess it wasnt anyway it had light blue hallways and a little map/radar thing and you were in a robot and you owned others robots to death and they were made up of really low count polygons, i think they might even have been green wireframe but maybe not i think thats the first 3d game i had played
