I have about 200 bucks to spend on PHR. What should I buy? I was thinking: Starter, Zeus blister, Triton A2 blister, Janus Blister but, then some goon comes in talking about Angelos swarm, and i get confused. God drat. These are some nice miniatures. I'm super excited about this game, and looking forward to getting my first game in on Wednesday. Is there a good way to get cheap terrain other than the paper stuff? I am going to experiment with modding some Really Useful Box's.

Do you plan on magnetizing? If you are actually going to hang your models, don't base them. If you are not going to do that, there is nothing wrong with basing them.

One of the most important rules for PHR is that if you exceed your needed damage roll by two, you do two points of damage. i.e. you need a 3, but roll a 5 or 6. i.e. you need a 4, but roll a 6 Also, AA weapons ignore the defense bonus that skimmers get.

I saw in a Beasts of War picture from Invasion (I think that is what it was called), there was a team called 'Goon Swarm.' Which of you guys went to that, and how was it? My friends and I are just wrapping up a 6 week Malifaux league, and the next system on the docket is Dropzone! I spent some time today assembling Odins 3-6 for my gimmick Poseidon with 6 Odins tactic. It really isn't a tactic, but I want to give it a try. Does anyone have experience with the new PHR releases, Long Reach, Valkyries and Medusas? I have them on order, but I have only played 5 games of Dropzone. They look cool, and that is enough for me.

My biggest issue with the PHR starter was that the quickstart rules sheet doesnt mention the part where if you roll 2 higher than you need for damage, it does double damage. So, if you need a 3+ and roll a 5 or 6, it does two points. The second part was that the quick start sheet doesnt mention that the To-Hit roll of an Ares can never be worse than 3+.

Uggggggg. I am going to need a guide on which PHR cruisers to build. I think i am going to build a few of each chassis, and then magnetize the batteries/launchbays. Do you guys think the light cruiser is going to get play out of starter games? It seems like PHR had Frigate killing ability across the board.

My PHR starters showed up today and I already have 6 frigates assembled. These models are very well designed and go together really quickly. I am thinking: 6 Europas (guns) 4 Medeas (strike carrier) 4 Pandoras (burn thru) 4 Andromedas (escort carrier) 2 Calypsos (ecm) Do you guys think that's a good allocation?

20 frigates assembled! Now on to 15 cruisers! 2 Theseus 2 Orion 2 Ikarus 2 Hector 2 Achilles 1 Orpheus 2 Ganymede 2 Bellerophon Any glaring mistakes here? Not building any Ajax or Perseus, but I might be able to snag a cruiser sprue or two from my kickstarter friends.
