Went to the World of Outlaws race at Placerville yesterday. Considering they had 3/4 of an inch of rain on the track the night before, it was a lot of fun. The top dried up quickly and the guys who ran the top in 3&4 were making some crazy passes. Jason Johnson ended up in the hospital after he wadded it up in turn 1... lets hope the best for him. Here's a picture with me and Paul McMahan. Haters vacate. Dirt racing fo lyfe. (Yes, that Knoxville shirt is the only shirt I own.)

Just saw that Johnson broke his back in that crash, and Daryn Pittman broke his collarbone. That's what happens when you get three cars going into turn one together on a narrow 1/4 mile dirt track.

Two laps at Sonoma with Alex Schutte behind the wheel today. You see it on TV, and iRacing, but until your butt's in the seat, you have no loving idea how insane this track is. There's no perception of the actual elevation changes until you're there. I needed a Xanax after we crested turn 2 the first time, and I still have a headache. I was there a couple years ago when we had rain, which was bizarre. I've been there in 105 pizza oven weather. The trick is to get as high on the grandstands as you can. The wind really whips off the bay the higher you go.

Good God almighty I'm whipped. In the garage at 7am, Finally off the track around 4. It was easily 95 degrees on-track. Shot nearly 100 pictures and a handful of videos. Soaked through my shirt and hat. Went through at least 3 liters of water and I'm still dehydrated. Never did see you, Brock!
