I binged the entire series over the weekend. Since I did not read the books I did not have any expectations and enjoyed it.
What I enjoyed the most was that they solved the crimes with detective work; working leads, going through old files, etc. None of the BS super enhancement of traffic camera footage, magic CSI type gimmicks.
