The keyword all this time has been optimizing, and deviating from that seems like a side thing. I feel like this too, since literally everything you've done so far is "how do I go about this the optimal way". Where do you draw the line on doing one suboptimal thing over a different one?

Why again do you have to spend your gold on items with the silver card? Is it because the funds ranking counts the value of the item if you were to buy them at the end of the game, so buying items with the silver card from money that you were just given is a net increase?
