Stuff like Tonetta, The Shaggs, Daniel Johnston, Wesley Willis and Jandek are way more interesting than stuff like Rap Journey, the post-rave stuff or Costes. In the end it comes down to personal preference, but I just find the people who are completely unaware of their inability more fun to listen to than the people who try very hard to make it bad.

In the interest of keeping the thread on track, I'll admit that the Post-Rave thing (the Bob Pokosy previously embedded) is a concious attempt at being bad and not genuinely bad music. I loving stand by Costes being terrible, though.

I think one of my favorite "so terrible it's hilarious" pieces that's showed up on the internet is from OCRemix, a hive of lovely musical attempts and remixes on a good day. On a bad day, you get this: frollo's FF7: The Musical http://ocremix.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-7058.html Sadly I couldn't find any examples of this in a simple and easy to listen link, like youtube, at least not in the short search I did. There are links to mp3's in the post I linked, those should still work. It's absolutely amazing how terrible one person can be at both writing lyrics and trying to sing them (in falsetto for the girl parts).
