It's weird how people react to leg experiences differently. Taking a train in like Japan or something that millions of people do: "It's once in a lifetime!". No actually, flying into Monaco on a helicopter and going to the Monte Carlo Casino is an actual once in a lifetime experience unless you like, win the lotto or something. But nobody really seemed to have that kind of reaction this leg.

Well great, the only blind date team that might possibly hook up has been eliminated. Enjoyable overall, but the gimmick is a failure.

I missed the last 20 minutes due to a phone call, but I was pretty certain I knew who was coming in last thanks to that bit with them kissing.

Blistering idiots.
I think this episode wins the award for "slowest walk to the mat".

Blair's long past caring about his teammate, and his comments about her being distracted by the hot pilot were hilarious.

That was one of the more entertaining episodes, with teams missing the salt licks, all the wild dogs and elephants and zebras, and the one team freaking out because all the other teams stopped to double check their directions. The challenges still haven't been anything special, but there might be some fun stuff next time.

The dog and elephant challenges seemed to be pretty imbalanced as far as difficulty goes, but yeah other than that it was a good ep. Aly was kind of a jerk at the end there, but that's probably the mental attitude you need to be an olympic athlete. Blair is hilarious and I kind of want to seem them win it all, truckstop is a disaster that is somehow stumbling along. Those 2 in the final would be funny. The only team I don't like is Jelani and Jenny, but that's more just dislike because they are boring and Jenny can be a jerk at times.

Oh, ye of little faith.
Agreed, I don't understand how Team Truck Stop is still in this. They have lucked out with some epic disasters by other teams in previous legs. Tonight, bizarre design on the dog/elephant detour that allowed them to pass teams that also wanted to do the dog task, but because they weren't far enough behind, couldn't.

At this point, I'd love to see the return of an Intersection, just to see what would happen if Jenny & Hayley had to work together.

Hay hay hay!
Team Doctor is worth watching just because he really has no more fucks to give about that nagging monster he's stuck with. Jelani and Jennie are dull but whatever, PINK DORAGS! It's also surprising Truckstop is still in it.

I can't remember the fun/nice/bland team who's doing well, but she looks like Amy Adams and he's got slightly graying hair.... I like them.

As for the episode, does Africa always have a non-elim? It was decent. That sand-skiing task looked exhausting compared to the 'drive your truck with tyres on the back.'

Any word on a renewal yet?

Laura & Tyler, and they're my favorites too, because they're having a lot of fun. Who cares if it's not a romance connection... when you both decide to go by secret agent middle names because you're in monaco, I'm gonna be a fan. Not blowing up over minor failings like missing the salt block helps a lot as well.

I'm rewatching some old seasons on hulu, and holy poo poo the race used to be so much harder. Multi-day legs with tons of self-arranged travel happening during the leg (like 18 hour bus rides through third world countries), sleeping outside on the ground in the rain all the time, and really hard challenges. People just looking massively burnt out after a few legs, with hilarious results. As opposed to now where it seems like they usually get up after a night in the hotel, drive to the airport to get on one of three already arranged flights, fly somewhere and do a couple pretty easy challenges (go get some chocolates) over 3-4 hours, then hit the hotel till next day.

Truckstop is the pretty weak, but consistent team that is perpetually saved by stronger teams having a catastrophe. Kinda like the Candy Scientists or the Beekmans. I thought that Truckstop was getting the Loser's Edit when they played clips of how the race has changed their outlook on life and how the world is so big and blah blah blah at the start of the second leg.

I thought that the Olympians would be doing a lot better but they're starting to bicker a lot. They're the only team that I kinda like so I'm hoping that they'll get it together.

WTF was with the editing up to the road block? It was like a completely different show.

And of course Jenny gets it quickly.

I wouldn't be able to handle being in Blair's position, with her constantly telling him to hurry. That would stress me out too much.

This was hilarious. They blurred something you could see in a grade school classroom.

I've really enjoyed this season so far. Kurt was lousy but he was gone quick enough that it didn't drag on the season. Haley would be amazingly difficult to race with but his hilarious in my living room, and she actually is quite likeable when she's being positive.

It's both thrilling and terrifying.
I kind of feel bad for Haley. She may be really annoying in stressful situations, but it must suck to have a giant network show spend a huge chunk of time every week highlighting how annoying you are. She doesn't necessarily seem like a bad person or anything. Just insufferable.

Yeah, the editing for the first chunk of the show was weird.

"You're riding your bike too fast, Blair, slow down"

Sometime later...

"Hurry up Blair"

She could argue that the editing is the cause, or their personalities just don't mesh very well together. That team is the most entertaining, just because Blair is always commenting and winking to the camera.

The team choices were okay this season but I don't like the gimmick where Phil asks the blind date teams every episode "do you think there could be a LOVE MATCH? HMMM?" It's kind of weird and creepy.

I am bummed that half the final four teams are the Team Negatives. I really liked Matt and Ashley, and I liked the team with that Jackie hairdresser that got eliminated earlier.

I feel like the truck stop team has gotten stronger over the course of the race and I think they're pretty likeable. They're my main rooting interest now, with the other "not Team Negative" as the other.

Jenny wearing a bath robe in the hot tub pretty much sums up her personality. Ugh.

Yeah J&J are the only teams that I don't want in the final 3. Truckstop, Blair and the Witch Project, and Team Amy Adams are all fine by me, but i'm not in love with any of them. I think it will probably get renewed, but they would be smart to pull in a celebrity/reality star team or gimmick to liven it up.

Jews fleeing the Holocaust are not in any way comparable to North Africans, who don't flee genocide but want to enjoy the social welfare systems of Northern Europe.
I'm still holding out hope that #TeamRXforLove will win and Phill will reveal the super twisted twist: Blind date teams needs to be married and living together for at least 1 year to get the money.

Ariza

The two normal people that don't argue and are attractive shouldn't win because their lives are going to be pretty OK anyways. The ugly hipsters should win because she's got a kid and working in a warehouse/doing tattoos doesn't pay well. The other two choices are doctor/nurse or lawyers so they'll be OK.

Thankee kindly.
It should be an elim leg next leg and they're still in Peru? Uh good luck Laura and Tyler.

Sadly at least one of Jenny and Hayley will survive to the final leg.

This season has been pretty mediocre though. I like Laura & Tyler and Matt and Ashley, but they don't come close to being in the top 15 teams of all time. I could see Jeff & Jackie coming back if there was an All-Stars season again, and maybe Laura & Tyler or Aly & Steve, but that's it really.

So, the leg before the final leg. And they're repeating last year's four teams get into the final leg, eliminate one team during the course of it. Seems like the truckers had a bad leg more because their taxi broke down and dancing is hard rather than anything else. Though I don't expect they'll succeed in winning, even though I want them to win. They just don't quite have it together enough.

Team Doctor are doing well, though. They seem to be willing to just set aside their problems with each other now that it's the last leg, and they'll likely never have to see each other after this. Most of the teams are pretty even in skill level, really.

Eltoasto

They probably won't do the elimination until after they take a flight to America, so truckstop has a chance to catch up and be on the same flight. Though their general skill level makes them the favorite to be eliminated during the leg for sure.
