Pearl's complete inability to act has started the timer on her quick elimination. That was painful, she should have been up for elimination. Max on Untucked was odd, outright telling Jaiden Fierce "No more of that." when talking about something as benign as a 'warm tush' from a vacated seat. Is her character a drag prude? This is the show that brought us the memorable yet throwaway line of 'Santino's rear end in a top hat is loose'. And then, Max on the ep 4 preview with that sudden complaint of "I don't want to do anything raunchy or vulgar" is going to be interesting to see if she has a career post drag race as who wants to come out and just watch some kid indulge in costumery? In my ideal universe Willam replaced Craig Ferguson and any plug-bent lesser celebs would have to be entertaining as gently caress or get read to filth instead of getting to promote their mid-season replacement comedies It would work as a show for so many reasons. Even the elderly, the last demographic that watches network tv, love to be titillated and scandalized in private. Willam with a massive wardrobe budget would be draw enough alone. You could have stylists of the week and poo poo, same as he essentially does now.Think of the intra-talkshow rivalries he could kick up. The rising tide would lift all boats. Who wouldn't want to see Fallon's phony aw-shucks persona drop in a heartbeat when called out on his cheating-rear end new father ways. Late night would be a little dangerous again.

Max didn't seem insane from that one small edit, Max was already nuts for thinking she had any business on Drag Race with her Ned Flanders cum Norma Desmond nonsense. The only thing that edit cost her was a shot at Miss Congeniality, she had already been pulled too far in the competition by sheer force of flopping contestants.

My hope is that Violet wins out of the remaining three. Someone needs to represent and inspire the massive demographic cohort of people who once did seedy low budget porn. And if it can't Violet then and I'd rather it have been Kennedy. As Pearl plain sucks and I'm unsettled with her making six figures on the back of vocal fry as performance art. And it was disappointing to watch Ginger turn into a Disney evil queen with poor debating skills. At least Kennedy's reign would be amusing and fraught with self inflicted high drama.

Congratulations to Violet and Katya. I think Gnger will stand as a monument to the perils of ignoring the "Don't gently caress it up" mantra when her first interview question was 'do you regret being a bitch' I think the catchphrase of the season is going to turn out to be "After a long night of hooking...", as "flazé daw" failed to capture the world's imagination and I cant remember another one as they spent so much time recycling the phrases of seasons past. I hope now that they can do a high-stakes non-paired season of allstars and push someone's career into as near to mainstream as possible. The show really relies on past seasons contestants and it would be nice for that to really pay out for someone.

Season 5 and 6 of drag race were the good seasons. Make friend watch them. Season 7 was 33% throwbacks and callbacks to those seasons anyway so it would make a humdrum season worse to not understand those references.

I've not checked the spoiler-spoilers but I already feel bad for poor Kelly Mantle and her infamous bacon meat ruffle. She's in there alone against a cast of only 100% fierce killers. Hopefully she'll win a mini-challenge or something.
