I love Ginger And for some reason I just adored Michelle's "MEH" during judging.

Not Today Satan posted:Hahaha, during that entire conversation I couldn't help but imagine that in Ginger's mind she's probably thinking "Oh Jeez, just stop talking, you sound like an rear end in a top hat" because it was written all over her face. I don't think the tone was meant to sound chiding or abrasive, it just happened that way. It's also really early on and most of the contestants probably still have their guard up due to it being a new experience and still getting to know each other. Hoping over the course of the season that drops a bit. Pearl is amazing looking out of drag. I mean, goddamn.

Man, this episode gave me a much deeper appreciation for Max beyond "wow, looks awesome." He was really cool during the challenge, he performed well and his runway was just fabulous. Kennedy, meh. Get your poo poo together. Pearl, mehhhhh. Katya's drag Lincoln was just great. "Who doesn't love a hairy box?" "My husband." I remain disappointed that Mathu Andersen wasn't a guest judge.

Pearl, go home. You're pretty but you're boring. And whiny. I still love Max and Katya. "Glamour toad" for words of the year. What even is happening with this elimination? REALLY? Excuse me, I'm going to go bitch to the cat.

That changed about 4 pages ago in this thread when somebody posted the newest one and, holy poo poo, I can't stop watching. I'm roughly 2 hours in, and have not breached the second season. This poo poo is genius. I want to win the lottery just to fund her life. It's like tosh.0 except funny. Also I'm rewatching season 4, and this read from Sharon to Jiggly still just makes me lose it: "You're such a fat slut, after sex, you smoke hams!"

Nihonniboku posted:I honestly think that it's because the queens are all pretty much on the same level this season. In previous seasons there were always a few obvious duds who were definitely going home the first couple episodes. Then a several middle of the pack girls, and then one or two absolute standouts. Really, since season 3, pretty much every season the ultimate winner was getting a winner's edit the entire season. Raja, Sharon Needles, Jinx Monsoon, Bianca del Rio, I don't think any of us had any doubt that any of them were at the very least for sure going to be in the final three.

I agree on the elimination. What even the gently caress. Miss Fame has been weird for me. Like 90% of the time I'm pretty much "meh" but then she has moments like the chicken talk last night and little hints that there's more there. Actually that's been the case for a lot of queens this season for me. There's a lot of stunning looks but I don't think there are as many huge personalities, or maybe they're not being edited to show them, or something. Drink a Red Bull, Pearl, this is a goddamn drag competition and it is no time to be chill.

That's it kind of. No one's done anything to make me go "aww" or "that bitch!" in any particular way. Some of them seem like neat people and many of them have gorgeous looks but it's kind of just not making me pull for anyone in particular. I'm definitely coming around on both Fame and Max though, Max started when he was so cool with Jaidynn during the acting challenge.

Max at the start all "they're so vulgar" when they're talking about sex -- you are in a drag competition, get over yourself. Katya was just fabulous this week. Even if it had just been the shark alone, she would have been fabulous. Fame continues to grow on me despite my initial reservations. I feel like she's trying hard and that's more than I can say for some people. Pearl... floated under the radar this week for me? Which is better than the last few weeks where I just wanted to shake the poo poo out of her till she showed some life and expression. She kind of typifies the "looks amazing, sorta meh personality-wise" thing they seem to have this year. Hearing the stories of queens who are really young whose families are lovely is always kind of depressing to me. I keep wanting to believe that we've moved past the whole "denying my kid is gay" thing, but, no. I wanted to give Jaidynn a hug after that workroom chat.

Only five minutes in and I'm reminded of why I love Katya "IT'S A MAN. Snatch ... vagina." Actually all through this episode Katya was fantastic. Fame was really cool in that workroom moment, too. Ru encouraging Fame to be more competitive and Fame going "gently caress it, I'm down!" was a pretty great moment. Ru was stirring poo poo pretty magnificently in that workroom walkthrough, actually. I still feel like Fame is coming into her own and despite her mediocre Snatch Game performance, she's growing every week. I was kind of surprised at some of the people I liked on Snatch Game. I was so thoroughly prepared to clock Kennedy for doing boydrag but then she really did well. And at how some people were a study in mediocrity notthatimeanyoumissfame. Jaidynn it is not a "nude illusion" if it is significantly lighter than your actual skin. It looks like you're wearing nylons with lace pinned to them (oh wait you are). Max congratulations on proving my point about "good looks, no content" queens this season. The bottom two both deserved to be there so after that it was just sort of "welp I wonder which one it will be?" Tendai fucked around with this message at 15:38 on Apr 14, 2015 |

Untucked this season is just fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heaAKxt9sHM Katya I love you. I also like how honest Ginger was about "gently caress those bitches, why are they coming back?" as compared to all the "omg my sisterrrr might come back." EDIT: Is it just me or is the old vs. young queens rivalry either being played up more or just existing more obviously this season

"I love Steven Spielberg! " Oh Katya I love you. Fame's reading made me agree with Kennedy and I don't like doing that but ugh, come on, that was bad. Throughout the episode it feels like she's kind of just falling apart or losing interest. Ginger deserved the win, Fame and Pearl deserved to be in the bottom two and I was kind of surprised Ru didn't just go "bitches, both of you just sashay, that was terrible" after that lovely lip sync. This episode was amazing in all the right ways.

Trixie keeps making me swing towards "meh" or dislike on the actual show and then back to like when she makes comments like this one in that reddit AMA in response to gently caress/marry/kill with Katya/Ginger/Pearl:quote:I gently caress and Marry katya. We also have two kids and we get married on my Grandma's porch in June. We honeymoon in Russia and then Katya takes me to the Mattel vault and says "pick one, babe." and I pick the Russian Barbie and then Katya cries . And he looks even more beautiful when he cries.

"This is not a sewing competition." Bitch. Have you ever watched the show? Oh my goooooood no more old queen bitching. Back in your day, blah blah, shut up. "You are too young to take on this kind of responsibility." Motherfucker it is a DRAG COMPETITION you are not running for president. As much as I really like Pearl's attitude in general and how she's possibly the most laid-back queen ever to be on the show except for moments when Jinkx was actually sleeping, Violet is winning it for me. She does really awesome looks but more importantly she seems to have grown a lot and she is a lot more likable than she was at the start. Still, flasaydah, bitches. rip kennedy, too bad it didn't happen last week I really need a gif of Violet's pulled-back scrunchface when Ginger was trying to get in her head after the main challenge rehearsal. And Pearl's bored "oh for gently caress's sake not this poo poo again" face when they cut to her. That was just great.

Not Today Satan posted:One thing that really bothered me this season was that there was more focus on the opportunity for catch-phrasing and overusage of team challenges. It hit me mid episode that I didn't really see much vulnerability from anyone this season until last-loving-night's episode. I had no idea Kennedy was a legal guardian or that Pearl had such a traumatic experience as a child. It seems like one of the reasons, to me anyway, why this season fell flat is because that's how everyone was painted - completely one dimensional with catchy phrases and an emphasis on the runway. The lack of workroom banter and genuine interest in the lives of the contestants seemed to be the death knell for this season. EDIT: I hope Katya's future WoW Youtube show is some kind of Borat-esque drag hooker comes to America. She could swing it.

Watching Untucked, it always seems to me that despite Kennedy's old-drag-lady bitterness she occasionally has moments where she seems like an actual human being, like when she and Violet were talking about confidence issues towards the end. Ginger, on the other hand, I always feel like her efforts at being nice are too much "oh poo poo I need to make the other queens/the audience/the judges like me again."
