This may make me buy a Xbone. I guess I'll have to wait and see if the features seem awesome enough to leave keys and customs behind.

Rastor posted:

I understand why not dealing with the Pro Guitar stuff, but why get rid of keys? Is it just a matter of the percentage of the total library that had keys parts?

Maybe they didn't want to deal with all instruments mode again?

Just downloaded about a years worth of customs and now I want to also upgrade the Rock Band Harmonies Project stuff, do I have to go through all the steps like it's a new install? I don't seem to have kept the old stuff around and at this point I'd prefer to not lose my scores again.

You can do the upgrade install process. Instead of deleting/rebuilding your cache, you delete the songs your upgrade, which removes the song entries (but not scores) from the cache, then you add in the dummies/harmony upgrades as usual.

Of course, this can be a royal pain in the rear end if you have a lot to upgrade at once, because you have to delete songs one at a time (only getting slightly more efficient if you have you multiple songs to be upgraded in the same pack).

Ack I might just only update the key upgrades then or songs I really want.

On the topic of instruments I really want a new Rock Band guitar, and Craigslist is really letting me down. Either people only have Wii stuff or want crazy prices for things. I was hoping to find someone just getting rid of poo poo for the 360.

Also I was checking eBay for prices out of curiosity an there's no way people are paying like $200 for some of poo poo people are trying to sling there.

Party Buffalo crashed on me today and it looks like it wiped my drive with it. Is there anyway I could restore the flash drive? I don't believe I backed up any of the customs on there and dont really feel like searching out for them :(

Lost all my Audition files for uncompleted songs a few computers ago, but I can tell you there were at least songs by Fleet Foxes, hosed Up, The New Pornographers, and Bomb The Music Industry! that started the process but never finished. The BTMI! song ("493 Ruth") was even charted by Jeff Rosenstock, but I think I was only one of like 2 or 3 people who bothered to peer review it and he just wrote it off as a loss.

Oh man, that's super disappointing. 493 Ruth would have been awesome. So would have hosed Up.

Real question is can I somehow convert my 360 save to ps3? I really don't feel like losing scores / recreating all my dumb things. I keep looking into a modded 360 but can't justify the cost for the once a year I play.

Yeah I've just about hit the song limit due to customs and would have preferred to just transfer stuff to the ps3 emulator if the saves were extractable.

Also autokick would be great for when people just aren't coordinated enough for the drum pedal and probably make the game come out more.
