Its mostly based on how many runes you have (minimum of 3 to maximum of 15 runes per win) and on how many times your race has gotten a win during the tournament, how many times your class has gotten a win during the tournament, and how many times people won with the god you worshipped. So if you do a really difficult race, class, or god you get way more points.

I aways die in the second or third floor, except that one time when I used a fire magic to evaporate liquids from defeated enemies and then used the huge amount of potions with another fire magic that created clouds, so I used a hell of a lot of clouds of "confuse" on the goblin mines and let them fight between themselves and didn't do anything else, advancing like 5 levels like this. Later on I found out that this was such a OP thing to do they removed it from the game lol.

chei is really only bearable if you grab like cblink so you can actually position yourself.

Yeah sounds like it. I didn't have it, only used like Appendage/Spider/Ice Form early then Blade Hands/Reflect Missiles/Stoneskin and later (like much later, we're talking Depths after I'd done Shoals/Spider/Elf/Vaults) Statue Form. Trying to work out what to play next to try and streak, I'm leaning towards either CeHu (for the opposite of Chei slowness) or a DECj or Wz or something since I've never won with a caster (died in postgame w/ 6 runes on a DDNe due to running out of ways to deal with high end demons/fiends).

HeWz is a classic combo that gets decent hp if you want something that isn't as fragile.

Wait chei lets you cast spider form? I assume you keep the chei movement penalty? I know spider form is real good for nagas since you get speed 10, but does chei allow it on them?

IMO Wz is better at being a hybrid since you don't start with any big damage spells, but you have great support ones, and meleeing stuff that's been confused with mephitic cloud is really strong.

It makes you speed 10, which isn't a speed boost for most races, but it is for nagas. I guess I'm really asking about chei nagas.

ya chei's cool with spider but u still are slow as poo poo

im a big fan of chei; the stat boosts make it so i can usually kill stuff fast enough to not get mobbed to terribly. i think my first 15 rune win ever was a NaFi of chei and it was a breeze once i got cblink up and running (which isnt hard to do with the int boost)
