3 DONG HORSE posted:2.09 Uh, yeah, 90% of GoT fights are downright shamefully choreographed. Daredevil is the opposite.

Professor Wayne posted:Just finished Daredevil season 2. Overall really good, but I couldn't stand Paige by the end of it. In a show about a blind dude dressing up in a devil costume to beat up bad guys, she seemed like the wish-fulfillment fantasy character. She's just way too naturally competent at every situation she lands in. From the moment she walks into the newsroom, she is immediately the best investigative reporter ever, can connect all the dots the professionals missed, and wins herself a giant office in a pretty crowded looking building without even writing a story. I hope all her coworkers hate her. Don't worry, she gets addicted to heroin and starts doing porn to support her habit.

notthegoatseguy posted:St Agnes Orphanage isn't in the comics, as far as I know. They sure didn't have to make Matt attend the same orphanage as Skye and could've easily just left it unnamed or name it something else, and there's no reason they couldn't have come up with their own biker gang in Daredevil season 2. Have you noticed how incredibly often the best in certain fields go to school or have lived together? It's an incredibly common thing, to the point where very successful people who didn't come up with other big names is the anomaly. Seriously, look into it, and maybe instead of making it bad it'll make you wonder what's special about that place.

WarLocke posted:I thought they did a good job of showing his powers as being a double-edged sword. Sure, he's virtually invulnerable - but the one time someone gets a bullet through his skin, the very changes that make him so 'super' complicate the relatively mundane action of removing a bullet from a bullet hole to the point that he very nearly dies. If they hadn't found that doctor dude Luke would have ended right there, 'super' or not. Has a superhero ever just died of sepsis?

Fartbox posted:I just have one question, was there any good action or fight or some sort of physical confrontation in the show? Not any with JJ. I think she's just too ... willowy? Or something? to look strong. Or she's like double-jointed? I dunno. The way she walks and moves, she just never looks like she's actually strong. S1 has a couple decent fights with Nuke, and Trish isn't half bad. S2, her mom pulls off looking insanely strong all the time, and the coreography took a step up (compared to S1 that's not saying much). But no, it's not a show about sweet fight scenes.

JJ S2 became the greatest Marvel Netflix in the first episode. The Wizzer? Come on. Punisher was amazing, that scene of the kid stabbing the dude was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen.
