With the Sauber thing, F1 drivers get their contracts terminated all the time yet lawsuits never happen from them. What makes the VdG situation different from every other contract termination?

Prince John posted:They've stolen money from him, then didn't perform their side of the contract. He paid millions for a race seat. They took the millions, then didn't give him a race seat. It's not the same as firing the driver in the normal course of business. So what makes this case different than McLaren taking Sergio Perez' Carlos Slim money and then telling him to gently caress off a year later. Specific contract details for VdG and not Perez?

Wait, is VdG suing because he paid for a contract for 2015 that wasn't upheld? Or is he suing about being sacked after the end of a previous year?

Prince John posted:He's supposed to have a 2015 contract that isn't being upheld. The court has ruled he should be racing at this race. Oh this makes sense Though VdG was suing over some routine end-of-season termination.

If Vettel/Ferrari actually win stuff, will Alonso kill himself over the shame?

So does Alonso kill himself now, or at the end of the season?
