For those that don't remember, you get points for how far off your guesses are from the positions of the teams. There is a silly complicated tie breaker I use but don't necessarily remember how it works because I just copied it from a few seasons ago. Also I've put an average in to see if our average predictions can do as well as any one persons guess. It doesn't, most of us are very bad at guessing things it turns out. Fun fact, DrNewton and SpacedGod both predicted the same as the SASF1 Average.

Past winners were Rho, Badgerman, and Cuddles, who all had just 6 points by the end of the season (which equates to three pairs of teams switched places, or one team 3 places off, since you get points for both teams that are wrong in a pair/group), just to give an example of how far off the first race shakeup has made us.

Then this little table shows how wrong we were on average for each team.

code:
Constructor	Wrongness
Sauber -5.79
Ferrari -2.18
Toro Rosso	-0.64
Force India	-0.33
Mercedes	-0.12
Marussia	0.15
Williams	0.97
Red Bull	1.76
Lotus 2.12
McLaren 4.06
More negative numbers mean the team did better than we predicted, more positive means the opposite, with Sauber and McLaren demonstrating that quite well.

Edit: Oh yeah, this is our average guess:

SASF1 Average
Mercedes
Williams
Red Bull
McLaren
Ferrari
Force India
Lotus
Toro Rosso
Sauber
Marussia

Max Mosley I believe, I'm not really sure if there was much more to it than that, as it was surely just a ploy to get something else he wanted implemented, by "compromising" to not do his outrageous idea and instead do a different idea.

poopzilla stays in the lead, and Wirth1000 stays in the other lead. Our average had slid down the table, further proof that we're all really bad at guessing things.

And here's our wrongness predictions table:

code:
Constructor	Wrongness
Sauber -4.79
Toro Rosso	-2.64
Ferrari -2.18
Mercedes	-0.12
Williams	-0.03
Marussia	0.15
Force India	0.67
Lotus 2.12
Red Bull	2.76
McLaren 4.06
Sauber and McLaren still the shocks, but now Toro Rosso has moved up (down? more negative???) indicating that we've underestimated them as well, with Red Bull going the other way (because they're more poo poo than we thought). On the other hand, we did really really well at predicting Williams' position apparently.

Yeah less points are good. You're winning. Essentially "12" means you've guessed, all teams combined, off by 12 of the actual standings.

If someones guessed Ferrari in 1st and Mercedes in 2nd they'd get 1 point from Ferrari and 1 point from Mercedes for guessing both off by 1 position.

poopzilla's lead is even more commanding, Wirth1000 and poty still poo poo and last.

Here's poopzilla's predictions, by the way:

Mercedes
Ferrari
Williams
Force India
Red Bull
Toro Rosso
Lotus
McLaren
Sauber
Marussia

His calls for Lotus, McLaren, and both Red Bull teams are why he's doing so well, though Sauber alone is giving him half of his points.

Here's our wrongness predictions table:

code:
Constructor	Wrongness

Sauber -4.79

Toro Rosso	-1.64

Lotus 1.12
Red Bull	1.76
McLaren 5.06

Vettel was catching somewhat, and as soon as Vettel pitted Lewis went faster.

Lewis went faster because it was the last few laps of his stint and he wanted to avoid falling victim to the undercut because Nico was pitting first (to avoid getting jumped by Vettel).

Lots of changes in midfield have shaken things up at both ends of the table. poopzilla is no longer first, implicitAssembler (who is this??) has now taken that spot. Amazingly he guessed all but two teams perfectly. Those teams are, unsurprisingly, Sauber and McLaren, which he has switched when compared to the actual rankings.

At the other end Wirth1000 climbs off the bottom of the table, leaving poty alone in last place.

Here's our wrongness predictions:

code:

Sauber -3.79

Lotus -0.88
