After the first round this is how our awful predictions stack up:code:
Past winners were Rho, Badgerman, and Cuddles, who all had just 6 points by the end of the season (which equates to three pairs of teams switched places, or one team 3 places off, since you get points for both teams that are wrong in a pair/group), just to give an example of how far off the first race shakeup has made us. Then this little table shows how wrong we were on average for each team. code:
Edit: Oh yeah, this is our average guess: SASF1 Average Mercedes Williams Red Bull McLaren Ferrari Force India Lotus Toro Rosso Sauber Marussia pik_d fucked around with this message at 05:24 on Mar 16, 2015 |

BlindSite posted:Kind of a dumb question, one of the guys I work with mentioned someone from f1 a while ago floated some idea whereby the drivers would change cars every race which would lead to a proper constructors championship and driver championship. Can anyone point me in the direction of who this was and if there was more to it than that basic run down? Max Mosley I believe, I'm not really sure if there was much more to it than that, as it was surely just a ploy to get something else he wanted implemented, by "compromising" to not do his outrageous idea and instead do a different idea.

poopzilla posted:so less points are good? Yeah less points are good. You're winning. Essentially "12" means you've guessed, all teams combined, off by 12 of the actual standings. If someones guessed Ferrari in 1st and Mercedes in 2nd they'd get 1 point from Ferrari and 1 point from Mercedes for guessing both off by 1 position. pik_d fucked around with this message at 03:20 on Mar 31, 2015 |

be nice wicka posted:i don't think rosberg realized that he was only in the championship race last year due to suffering fewer major mechanical issues than hamilton. he thought he was actually competitive on pace and is only now realizing that's clearly not the case. Pretty funny too, since we all used to be gay for him. Also, I think at the end of the season they were just about equal for mechanical failures, which is why Lewis won by 67 points (and the stupid double points race)
