Has Kenneth Branagh really done anything of note other than Hamlet? There's a few of his films I haven't seen, but his last few Shakespeares have been dire.

Branagh is a guy who peaked really, really early. His Henry V is a legitimate classic, Dead Again and Peter's Friends are solid, but it starts to get wobbly from there -- his Much Ado doesn't do much for me (but then again I've never been a huge fan of the play), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a mess, then he rebounded with Bleak Midwinter and Hamlet, and after that ... oof. Even Thor, which as Egbert said has some really great production design, suffers because you barely see any of it due to Branagh using more dutch angles than JJ Abrams did in Star Trek 09.

Yeah, I should have specified after Hamlet. People often talk up how great the Asgardian stuff in Thor was, but I found Thor as a fish out of water in a small town to be the most interesting bit, none of the fantasy aspects held any weight for me.

If you watch this on the computer it's just a disorienting 360 shot stretched out, if you watch it on an android phone however you get this little VR experience where you control where you look by moving your phone.
