I don't get the combat log for interrupts.

The game says that it takes the attacker's interrupt (shown in your char screen for PCs), the defender's concentration (also shown in char screen for PCs), rolls from 1-100, adds interrupt, and subtracts concentration.

So I'd assume a combat log would have shown something like "51+6-6" for example (6 interrupt, 6 conc, 51 random roll). Which would be a successful interrupt as it's over 50.

But instead it shows something more like "Interrupt:6. Roll:86 + 6 = 92 > Concentration:81." Which looks like it does an interrupt 1-100 roll (86), and a conc 1-100 roll (something, let's say 75), adds interrupt and conc to each roll, and compares the values.

Which is right? It doesn't really matter in the end since higher interrupt = better, but I'm curious.

God loving damnit, that's why they invented difficulty settings didn't they? I think I'm starting to understand what the problem is. Difficulty in this game changes the number of enemies you encounter. I play on easy, thus kill less, thus get less XP and that might be the reason I'm underlevelled for my quests! If that is the case - way to gently caress up the balance Obsidian.

In addition to what I just said, the testers were probably huge nerds like yourself for whom if a boss fight doesn't have a "wipe half your party in one shot" skill, than it's "easy".

durrrrrrrrr

Is it intended that spear spiders ignore all DR wiht their attacks? I didn't notice if all of them did, but at the least the ones in the prison of caed nua do.

Most weapons have an easily understood gimmick*, but I dunno what to do about slash/crush/pierce... gives different DRs against certain armors, but this doesn't show up in enemy tooltips, so how am I supposed to use it?

*does the "burning lash" on a torch add fire damage to attacks or does it increase fire damage on abilities?

No idea how the lash enchants work (I hit for 18 damage against 10DR, ended up doing 8 crush damage and 3.9 burn, which doesn't match up with anything I could think of how it would work), but the enemy tooltip in the top left of the screen shows their known DRs against various damage types.

So what's the "tick" time in this game? 3 seconds?

Here is what my number row keys do in this video game:

1. Selects first party member
2. Selects both first and second party members
3. Nothing
4. Selects fourth party member
5. Selects fifth party member
6. Selects sixth party member

is this wrong
it seems wrong

I found by accident that if you hold ctrl and push a number button, you assign whoever's selected to that button e.g. select the first guy, ctrl+2 and now both 1 and 2 will select the first guy. This is expected for 7-0, but it seems to work for 1-6 as well.

So try selecting the second guy with the mouse, hit ctrl+2, then select the third guy, hit ctrl+3.

It's not a non-issue though.

This is a game where infants are being murdered. There's a tree full of dead people who are being used as an example for others. There's curse words littered throughout the dialogue ("loving" and "poo poo" are commonplace). One of the first quests you do can involve tracking down a scared orphan girl and murdering her.

The point is, it's a serious game with adult content. Because one idiot whined about some of it on twitter, obsidian caved and removed some of that content.

It's a disappointing trend. Sure you may not care about THIS specific limerick, but what about next time when they remove something else that you actually enjoyed about the game? Keep in mind if you bought this game through steam, you are FORCED to update to play the game.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me

If this is true, is there a way I can get my $250 refunded? I'd be happy to mail all the physical items back; as I really don't want to support this kind of censorship.

EDIT: I sent a request through the backer portal. I'll let you guys know the outcome. And to all the back and forth, I'm not upset. Obsidian can change whatever they want, it's their game. But I feel like this isn't in the spirit of their Kickstarter of making a game that answers only to the fans, and thus I really don't want to financially support that decision.

I like this thread because it's a) not a hugbox about the game and b) ropekid doesn't vanish into the aether like so many other developers on here when the slightest hint of criticism of the game pops up.

It's good! And i also like the game.
