As awesome as Chris Avellone is, I think it's a bit of a shame that the other writers at Obsidian tend to get the short shrift while everything the company has ever done gets attributed to him. At least George Ziets became the patron saint of Kickstarter stretch goals!

I'm pretty much set on making a sarcastic rogue with a rapier for my first playthrough, which is my standard character in most RPGs. I'll probably throw in a pistol too for good measure. I'm not sure why, but I always tend to leave magic to the rest of my party and go all backstabby for my PCs. Even after all this time, one of the things I'm most excited about is the return of the feathered hats. They were unironically one of my favorite things about Neverwinter Nights 2, and a replay of that game never felt complete until I got to the first town and was able to buy my hat.
