If this is anything like Wasteland 2 I'm going to look forward to those people who paid money for an old school CRPG being shocked and appalled that they actually got an old school CRPG.

Drifter posted:Wasteland 2 is more of a drunk uncle/kitchen sink design, for the bad. An Obsidian game seems to have a much better focus on what's good to include and what's not good to include. I'm mainly amused at all the people who paid money for Wasteland 2, and after all the developer updates, the beta, and everything else indicating what kind of game it would be, were still profoundly angry that the game the developers said it would be was actually the game the developers said it would be. It was truly baffling. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. Didn't actually contribute to the kickstarter, as I didn't have enough money, but I plan on buying it when it comes out.

Started as a fighter because I am Boring McBoring, but it's pretty fun so far. Opted for expert mode since I'm a veteran of Baldur's Gate etc, and I like figuring out poo poo on my own. After playing Stalker for a long time I'm relieved that one of the first things that happens is that you get caught in a surge.
