It's that time of year again, Big Brother Canada season 3 launches on Global TV March 23rd. Following in the footsteps of Big Brother US, the Canadian version follows its competition and eviction format. Essentially at the start of the season, 14-16 move into a house packed with cameras, footage is streamed online to the masses, and each week someone is evicted by other members of the house until only two are left. Then the previous 6-7 people who were evicted act as a jury to choose the winner. In previous seasons, it's been possible to watch the streams and episodes outside of Canada through various means like by VPN. The OP will be updated once we get some confirmations on how this year will run. The first two season of the show were decent, something to tide one over until BB US started back up. The house the players live in is nice, but it has more of a "budget" BB US feel than the American version, as the competitions seem more low key and simple due to house not having a big "outdoor" space to play in. Most of the inner house game play remains solid though. All the cast bios are out. The cast seems pretty good but I wish they had more people from the coasts, the Nova Scotia and Newfie accents are my favorite part of BBCan.

I'm definitely going to check this out, despite being American so I'll have to jump through some hoops for it. But I've enjoyed BB Canada much more the last two years than BB America and I think last season and its final few were some of my favorite ever. So here's to BB Canada keeping up the momentum. And hopefully OnlineBigBrother.com puts up the youtube videos of all relevant feed clips again so I can follow that without actually wasting my life.

Last season was pretty drat good and mostly made up for the poo poo show that was Season 1, mostly the finale. Looking at the house tour, it looks like once again the sheer amount of effort that has gone into redesigning the house has blown away anything that BBUS could ever hope to do. I have no idea who the crew is that they have working on it or how much money they put into it, but drat if they don't do an impressive job. I honestly prefer the smaller scale, "budget" challenges of BBCAN Looking forward to another season, Maritimes Represent! S1+2: ... and here's to a hat trick, even if the first one was garbage!

Casting did a great job. Although the videos seem to be shot in some cheap hotel in downtown Winnipeg LOL.  Hope that the Hempster chick (Sarah) and Ricia the Cougar stay for a while although I have my doubts about their longevity in the house. Is this going to be on tv 3 times per week? I can't watch that often and will probably use this thread to keep up with what's going on - so keep the news flashes and updates coming guys. It's on 3 times a week. Mondays at 8pm. Wednesdays at 9pm. Sundays at 7pm. Also the live feeds start this Wednesday after the eviction episode.

Random musings: They should have started out with the house empty, no food and a case of beer on the floor - a very common experience for Canadians moving into a new place. Before this episode I only knew of 2 Toronto escorts over 6' tall LOL. Such an interesting social experiment, seeing who got votes for eviction - and having viewers vote on the first elimination based on so little information. Risha seems like she'd just cause a hostile environment for the women and they'd all target each other which would lead to the guys dominating. So BB16, in a sense. It's probably too early to declare that but that's definitely not the best route to go.

I've not had any luck with the Hola browser add-ons this season. I did however have success with DotVPN in Chrome. Still unclear about the live feeds, but if the episodes work in DotVPN, here's hoping the feeds will too.
