As Destiny can never pass a 17 strength check alone, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume Klades also wants to Pass.

Forced Water Mining - 17 POL LEA TAC ENG

POL 1 - Consolidate Power
PIL 3 - Maximum Firepower

Total: -2 FAIL. -1 Pop, -1 Morale.

Jump Prep +1.

The kidnapped masses are never seen from again. The ships of the fleet are starting to look rather empty...

Turn 9.3: Baltar (OhHiMaahk) is the Current Player.

Baltar (OhHiMaahk) draws 1 PIL and 1 ENG by CO.

Good job Cylons!

I thought you were the most cylon-y based on how vocal the rest of us were. Maybe you were just busy and that was purely coincidental, but it worked out for us all the same. Except we lost anyway. :V

Definitely curious to know if Somber had other reasons for being suspicious though!

Resistance would have killed the humans if they failed it. Otherwise, no immediate threats for a while. If the humans had gone all out on the Forced Water Mining crisis they could have possibly passed it, which would have given them enough Food to survive riots. Double activating Caprica really did the Cylons some favours, despite the obvious risk.

If Cylon Ambush had been selected rather than Asteroid Field, the Humans would have probably had enough Fuel to survive. Cylon Ambush is actually a really good Destination, probably the best in the game in terms of Distance to Fuel ratio. It's a pretty common rookie mistake to bury it as it sets up ships.

It wasn't a particularly hard call between Fat Samurai and Klades, Klades seemed like he was sitting back because I had made up my mind to go for Samurai. The point I made about Baltar and Starbuck was to gauge reactions more than anything definitive.

Thank you for running this, Brony! I had a good time even if it didn't work out in the end.

Sorry for burying Cylon Ambush.

I did bury several ugly crises, yeah. I think there was one that would've ended the game if we'd gotten it? I have more to post but I'm on my phone and so I'll get around to it later tonight.

I talked to Max Peck about our game sometimes, but only after I'd posted decisions about destinations/crises/whatever. I figured it would be nice to know how bad I am but only after it's too late to change anything. When I told him I picked Barren Planet instead of Cylon Ambush, this was his response:

If you'll remember, we immediately had Legendary Discovery right after I picked to go to Barren Planet.

Some time later, Max told me he thought us humans would lose by running out of morale. When we were sitting at 1 food, 1 fuel, 5 morale, and whatever pop, I again asked him for his opinion on how the game would end:

You guys know how that turned out!

So even though we lost, I've just confirmed what I've known all along, which is that Max Peck is a Cylon.

Definitely. I didn't realize/remember that it had -2 jump prep, so I thought we were on the easy path to victory until I saw that.

Holding off on my super crisis worked out better than I thought it would. It would have had minimal impact the first opportunity I had to play it, and the humans did not anticipate it so they started tanking like crazy just trying to race to the finish. I wish I could say it was my evil plan all along.

I have played this game a lot, and this is probably the most mistakes I've made as a cylon!

On the skill check with Daisy where I outed myself, my original plan was to hard spike the skill check and then use arrest order to brig Starback and make Adama the admiral (I was about 75% sure he was the other cylon at that point). However, I forgot about Adama's static which caused two of the cards I played to actually be positive. Brony allowed me to do a stealth card swap under the condition that I play the same number of cards (I also played the same value), which would allow me some cover to blame Starbuck and/or destiny.

Then that stupid TAC 5 came out of destiny which made me believe Starbuck may be the other cylon. I decided to check her loyalty without thinking the consequences of that through all the way which resulted in me outing myself. I should have just followed through with the original plan.

Then I used the human fleet forgetting totally about Zarek's OPG. This was in spite of Zarek declaring his intent to use it and Klades actually telling me the correct play of jumping the fleet. I have no justification for this one other than possibly being drunk.

Brony Hunter

Motherfucking Mannis

Note the reason I allowed Maahk to swap his cards during that situation is because like a dolt I too forgot about Adama's static until the spreadsheet reminded me. As a result, I gave everyone a chance to change their plays.

Also I think Maahk knows this, but if he'd have activated Caprica rather than Human Fleet, the game would have been over there and then as the humans would have run out of fuel on the jump.

Did the cylons get their cards from the start?

I was completely oblivious to the possibility of a crisis that was a straight minus resource (even after seeing and playing some ). Otherwise I wouldn't have been so cavalier letting everything drop to 1.

Taking Network Computers as a crisis was a mistake, too, giving what Daisy had said before about going all in. I got blinded by the extra Jump Prep.

Other than that, I was too reluctant to play Investigative Committees. We blew several test out of the water (brigging Baltar and the one before Network Computers come to mind) and the cards would have helped a lot later.

In all, it was a good learning experience.

Brony Hunter

Motherfucking Mannis

Both Cylons got their cards at sleeper.

You guys had such a brutal first jump cycle (drawing loads of Cylon Attack Cards, long stretches with no jump prep...) that if there had been a Cylon at that point it would have been a VERY short game. If anything, the Cylons were at a disadvantage as most of the nastier Crises had already been drawn/buried and they had a lot of catching up to do.

And yeah the Humans lost to bad coordination, really. You tanked Crises you probably should have tried to pass, and blew checks out of the water that you arguably didn't need to. I can see where you guys were coming from, as the Cylons were pretty behind it was a valid strategy to just pump Jump Prep and tank Crises to rush for Kobol. It probably would have worked if not for Baltar's SCC.

Not using Inv Comms was a huge problem for the Humans. Even when all Cylons are revealed, they're still a useful card to play as they allow for a lot more coordination between the human team. It's unlikely the Humans would have wasted so many cards on certain checks if you'd have played Inv Comms, and thus known what everyone else was playing. As a result, the Humans wasted a lot of cards of certain checks, which left them card starved for later Crises.

It was amusing before sleeper however when everyone was hoarding cards. If you recall, at one point every LEA card was in a player's hand!
