Tapings start this weekend. So be alert and/or kind when it comes to spoilers both here and social media. Also just stop listening to Wrestling Observer Radio as Meltzer will blurt out spoilers at random times.

Dorian Roldan (the younger Roldan that's in the big amorphous AAA heel group) is an executive producer and may have some say but Eric Van Wagenen and Chris De Joseph seem to be the guys mostly in charge of LU creative.

Don't pretend to know much about Lucha or this complex situation. But they're essentially brand splits. Same ownership and investors with only difference being MGM TV and El Rey don't have a stake in AAA BUT two billionaires do. Rey Mysterio's situation was described to me as a "robbing Peter to pay Paul" deal between AAA and LU. Rey isn't the only one who has had this happened to. Contract breaches all over the place and lots are legally free to play the field. Just a lot of disappointment going around.

Rey is probably likely WWE bound. Rey thinks he could bring Konnan with him but we can all agree that's VERY wishful thinking.

Had no idea what there to post this in:

Via CubsFan on VOW Forum:

I partly wrote about it this morning but I might as well do it again - the AAA/LU luchador mentioned in the WON as hoping to head to NXT is most likely Hijo del Fantasma/Cuerno. He speaks much better English than Fenix/Pentagon/whoever else, he's taller and in great shape. He's got the connection with Sombra & Dark Angel from when they all were in CMLL. The only thing holding him back before was WWE only looking for one Mexican at a time and only looking for people who were giant stars (which he hasn't been), but times seem like they're changing. He would fit in and do well.

The thing holding Fantasma back now is whatever contract he's under - the story has always been that the AAA guys were asked/told to sign whatever was the original and harshest version of the Lucha Underground contract, which probably includes the dreaded seven season length. At the pace they're going, that would be over in 2021. Fantasma - or whoever it is - probably can't actually go anywhere and knows it, which means this is about sending a message as much as acting on something - Fantasma is part of Konnan's crew and is not on Rey de Reyes and would figure to be not too happy about the current state of AAA.

Apparently Aro Lucha contracts and their business model in general will be a big story the next few days. I assume the Observer will cover it.

Good or bad? I really want those Nazis to faceplant.

The contract terms are really restrictive like the initial Lucha Underground ones were.

AAA is running MSG in September after WWE does two nights at MSG.

The other September date (which I was told in October) is in LA and MOSTLY LIKELY at the Forum.

Daniel Bryan spoke to Superluchas ahead of the WWE’s event in Colombia this past weekend. Bryan was asked about several Luchadors coming to WWE and cited Negro Casas and Blue Panther among his favorites, but believes they are too old for WWE with both in their late ’50s. Of the current generation, he mentioned Rush, Bandido, and Dragon Lee as ones that could succeed in the company but also brought up that the WWE already has Gran Metalik and used his name to plug 205 Live. It’s funny because Gran Metalik would be the cautionary tale you would use when mentioning other Lucha talent coming to WWE and where they could end up.
