I know everyone's talking about TripleMania, but I just watched what's apparently the one kind of good match from last Friday night's CMLL show. It's Dragon Lee vs. Gran Guerrero in a lightning match, which should be good to great, but the ref has one of the all-time great screw-ups on the finish, even by lucha ref standards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l89LED2DeI&t=4856s

Cubs fan was really high on the AAA show, giving every match at least a "Good" rating, with Fenix-Laredo Kid-Puma King-Taurus getting a "Great." I've yet to watch the show but am looking forward to it as part of my G1 cleanse.

This is from Cubs Fan's latest post, about Friday night CMLL's Universal de Amazonas final: "Dalys vs Metalica was underwhelming, both in the match and the presentation. Metalica left on a stretcher, either getting hurt or getting gassed after a botched dive. Commentary a bit buried her for being an easy opponent."

I don't know if RoH was pressured to not book Rush, but CMLL did try to get New Japan to not use Dragon Lee after he was fired, and that lasted maybe six months before they were like 'nah, he's getting signed full time.'
