Pretty sure you can power servants just by killing random people, Saber specifically mentions it as something that's possible but that she won't do when she first meets Shirou.

Glad to see a new thread is up for the second cour, but then it turned into what I expect all Fate threads to turn into, but right at the first couple of replies, too... The title truly is appropriate. Should really lower my expectations. Still gonna follow this though. Fights are amazing and the second part of the series really picks them up too.

Heaven's Feel is the third route of the original VN that's going to be a movie(s)? instead of another show. It focuses on Sakura as the main heroine.

I'm pretty sure the only way Fate fans would be satisfied with an animated adaption is if every character stood around for five minutes monologuing in their head so as to explain to the viewer exactly what they are feeling at the moment and why they're doing what they're doing. Some stuff just doesn't adapt well. At least there are cool fights!

Like it or hate it the inner monologues are a big part of F/SN but this adaptation is pretty good, and I like the callbacks to F/Z they've added.

Yeah, this adaptation is pretty good by all but the most retentive of standards. It just happens that many Fate fans are that obsessed by detail. Fights are still gorgeous, though.

basically if you can handle all the words id still recommend the VN but if you're actually neurotypical this is probably the best way of experiencing F/SN. shame they'll probably never adapt fate, though. if any route could do with some sprucing up, it's that one.

I really want Ufotable to do one after the Heaven's Feel movies, but then you'd get rear end in a top hat Fate fans complaining about the adaptations being out of order and any possible nods towards the other routes in Fate... Really would like to see a better animated and plotted version of that route, though...

Even though UBW's a fun route, FSN as a whole is super dense with text so I'm not sure what they're asking for. Not surprised if I missed details or whatever though.

actually all that said there is one thing that i feel like ufotable dropped the ball on a little after the playdate with rin and saber shirou has this:  inner monologue in anime is dumb but you didn't really get a sense of shirou feeling awkward or a little depressed once the day's over.
