i have other aliases on my home jumpbox that of course do things to remote servers and query remote files from {lots of servers} and compile them and do poo poo to them to retrun results

like we have 14,000 production servers out there as if i can log onto every one

but that's just my situation

the moral of the story is learn bash folks,

learn bash, sed, awk, grep, regex, awk again to make sure you got it, sed again too, linux piping and command interpretation times ten, throw in some good sorts and uniqs,

i mean you can't go wrong learning how amazing the shell is for just doing poo poo
