Oh that explains it.

I don't get why people get mad at Nintendo for only mentioning fall to next spring releases, because it's honestly preferable to find out what's coming out now rather than wait forever on new info (though to be fair, plenty of projects on that list like Woolly World and Xenoblade X have been in development and have been talked about for years).

Alright, from what Amazon is currently showing it looks like Sony has EDF 2: Invaders from Planet Space on the Vita September 15th, Corpse Party: Blood Drive - Everafter Edition in October, God of War 3 remaster for PS4 in July, the PS Blog claims Until Dawn will hit PS4 August 25th and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on August 11th.

Nintendo has a lot of less flashy 3DS shovel ware from LBX: Little Battlers eXperience (Aug 21) to Garfield Kart (Aug 11).

There is also, of course, a lot of games still listed as "coming out in 2015," but don't have a date so they're MIA until we get anything resembling a confirmed release that is just as likely to be moved due to whatever.

it's almost like there is another E3 style convention in a few months where they can announce new games too.

The thing is, I highly doubt you'll get 2015 release dates out of Gamescom. I mean do you think Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown missed E3 because they're MORE likely to be released this year? I'm still not even sure Crackdown is actually a game yet, and no one knows what Scalebound is supposed to be.

I dunno about Sony, but Nintendo will at least have more Directs later this year, although usually they're game-specific.

I was talking about TGS for Nintendo unless that wasn't directed towards me.

That was one of the implications, yeah. Midgar and Shinra (and Hojo especially) were iconic of thoughtless, destructive human progress at the expense of the world they lived in. It was more a genuine question on my part. Maybe they didn't write the trailer. Or maybe they did but can't write dialogue well and are just good at settings and plots. Either way, I hope the general response to cavewoman snark was negative so it doesn't end up in the final product. Imagining an entire game of that makes me cringe.

They've already said she'll talk far less in the full game. That was just for the demo

I feel Crackdown 3 is going to be like Crackdown 2 where it's vaporware and then Microsoft will out of nowhere give a dev like 7 months to make it happen. Like Crackdown 1 and 2 a beta for Halo Whatever will be included which help it's launch slightly but (like Crackdown 2) no one will talk about it or mention it ever again afterwards.

Microsoft appeared at TGS for the first time last year, which makes me curious if they're going to this year with just all Scalebound all day? Or maybe there's nothing there and Platinum just realizes they have enough projects going on and prestige that they can milk MS and take their time. The deadline to get paperwork/etc. in was on May 29th but July 1st is when exhibitors are briefed and stuff is finalized so I guess we'll know soon.

Gaikai was bought by Sony years ago, but OnLive was also acquired by Sony like a month or so ago, which they only did to dissolve the company and absorb their patents.

I got a ton of photos from E3. I'll post them somewhere if I got more time.

That is SCEA CEO/President Shawn Layden meeting up with Shigeru Miyamoto next to the Project Morpheus booth for what was most likely a private demo.

Photo is awful because I didn't know what was going on and once I realized who they were after the photo, they both disappeared.

There was a video game museum section at E3 that I spent too much time at. I'll post more in the retro games thread.
Someone told me this cartridge was a reproduction. I hope so because it was loose along with all the other cartridges there for the classic systems. :ohdear:
