I think XBone controllers work out of the box wired with the latest XInput drivers? idk. Can't use dpad on xbox (bone or 360) controllers either if that makes you feel any better The xbone controller works as a 360 controller on most games, there have been a few that have had issues (Two Worlds II, Super Panda Adventure, umm can't think of the other few) but in all other cases it's the same as a 360 controller as far as windows is concerned.

So I got to the last boss, couldn't beat him, quit out. Came back another day, bulked my stats, found some treasures, got blazed, chilled. Now, when I go to the final encounter, after I bet the ninjas I get a story cut scene then get kicked back to the map, effectively making the game unwinnable. Am I missing something?

The ninja stage is called "Final Battle," but it's a purposeful misnomer. The story sequence mentions that the last area is an island icon you couldn't get to before and the actual final boss is there, I think you go left from Coast of Dragons 2. e: The red ninja is also the only boss in the game who's vulnerable to Magic Breath if you wanna cheese part of that fight, just a dumb easter egg thing Fur20 fucked around with this message at 20:03 on Apr 30, 2015 |

TWD, this game is wonderful, and I'm happy to see the results of all your hard work. It's been a long journey, and I hope it was as enlightening to you as it was fun for me to watch.

I bought it at IGS and downloaded the DRM-free version, but it's giving me a CLR20r3 error when I try to run it. Says the XNA Framework is the cause, but I've run all the installers that came with the game and it still crashes. Anyone reported an error like that yet?

I might've packed a lovely XNA installer, but that shouldn't be the case because I just included the one from the link here. Just to be sure, try use the one Microsoft provides: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914 I had one report of a similar problem, the guy was on Windows XP with an ancient single-core CPU. I passed them the official Microsoft link and it somehow fixed itself?

I give. Last boss is inscrutable and no fun. K, fire damages the head and the arm that's holding the mirror. Lightning rebounded off the vent thing on the far right of the screen damages the back shaft and acid puke damages the flying hand. What damages the flashing gem and how the hell do I avoid or cancel the lightning tornado?

Also tried installing on Steam and it gives me the same error. Probably is my computer, it's fairly old itself, I just thought I'd give it a try since the minimum was an Integrated Graphics Card. It's not much of a loss at only five dollars, but anything else you can think of I could try?

The lightning attack can be dodged if you stand near the left of the screen and walk slowly away from it so that it dissipates before it hits you.

I tried 4.0 and 4.5, but it's still giving me the same error. Don't worry too much about it though, I'm sure it's probably just my computer rather than your game.

Congrats on actually getting the game out BTW! It's a fun little game, if a little bit too short. I'm no game designer but if you do make a sequel, consider making it a Metroidvaina style game, it almost has all the elements to be one. I also really dig the SNES RPG style music, not too many indie games utilize that style of chiptune, so props to the musician. There should also be a mode where you play as that fuzzy blue dragon, he seems like a totally chill guy. The final boss is a jerk, your top priority should be destroying the lightning generator since the lightning attack is the most difficult to avoid. wafflemoose fucked around with this message at 05:18 on May 3, 2015 |

Well I'm stuck at the final final boss, it's just impossible to both keep dealing damage and avoiding attacks (the head and lightning specially). Still, it was a fun ride while it lasted. Have you considered adding VO? Btw if you set the resolution to 1280x720 the bottom power text gets cut off.

Yeah, I had to go back twice to LEVEL UP before I could beat the last boss (and ask how to kinda of avoid the lightning). If you max the defense stat I think you take, like, 1/2 damage which makes it tolerable. Still seems really out of place difficulty curve-wise on a game that banks predominantly on being chill as all hell. I need a guide, I can't figure out how to get to level 3a and I'm still missing a bunch of treasure. The aloha shirt beneath the wine bar most infuriatingly. Also, what's the deal with unlocking the pidgin option? I still can't find it in the options and I'm kind of dying to see someone get called a lolohead in a game about a cartoon dragon. e: Oh yeah, polish request. Please make the lighting effects on dragon when he breathes fire also light up things in the surrounding area. It's disconcerting when it only effects Dragon. The non violent castle approach path is one of my favorite video game things ever. Sizone fucked around with this message at 10:33 on May 3, 2015 |

Also does anyone know where the second item is for the castle approach stage? I got the one that you need to freeze the soldier blocking it but I can't find the second one.

The only reason Dragon lights up is because his base sprite was drawn to do so. 3) You reach the different routes in King's Forest 3 by approaching it from either the stage above or below it on the map. So either come down from King's Forest 1 or up from King's Forest 2 to get the alternate path you haven't been through yet. Drashin posted:Also does anyone know where the second item is for the castle approach stage? I got the one that you need to freeze the soldier blocking it but I can't find the second one. 1) There's one hidden behind the background on the bottom path of the stage, it's really high up so you have to jump on the car and ride on top of it to reach it. 2) I feel kinda bad about making this one in retrospect because it's kinda mean, but you have to knock back one of the spymaster's daggers back at her to take her mask off. Once it's gone, you can hit her with Magic Breath and she'll bring out the diamond. SupSuper posted:Well I'm stuck at the final final boss, it's just impossible to both keep dealing damage and avoiding attacks (the head and lightning specially). Still, it was a fun ride while it lasted. Have you considered adding VO? As for the final boss's attacks, the lightning moves slower the closer you are to it and will run out fairly quickly if you do this. The head is all about adjusting your vertical positioning--remember that you can start flying at any point in your jump; and for the one where he drags the laser down slowly, you can slowly tap the flight button and inch your way downwards with it. The laser points are from the tip of the horn on the helmet, and from the middle of the grate over the mouth, so aim for right between them. I might make their hitboxes smaller though. Bonus tip: If you break the intake valve under his cape with Magic Breath, it'll do tick damage to all the parts. Alas, no voiceovers; the only VA is ever gonna be in that one commercial. C'mon dogg, you of all people gotta finish it--you're in the credits under Additional Program (save & load) Fur20 fucked around with this message at 18:45 on May 3, 2015 |

Beat it and found everything, a nice little palette cleanser after hours of GTAV. The Hawaiian Creole language option is hilarious, I used to live on the Oahu island back in the early 90s and was wondering why native people spoke what I thought was jive turkey whenever we were not on the Hickam Air Force base. Also, the band members are my favorite enemies in the game. The fact that the king would weaponize a marching band to stop a nerdy dragon wearing bifocals just adds to the silly tone of the game. Wished the magic breath worked on every enemy though. Sometimes I didn't want to kill everyone and make friends instead. Those dudes with shotguns are jerks though, nothing I do affects them, those guys need to be vulnerable to magic breath because they obviously need to chill the gently caress out. wafflemoose fucked around with this message at 04:53 on May 4, 2015 |

I started this last night and I'm really liking it, and really looking forward to being able to go back and clean out all the levels. The White Dragon posted:Its Front Mission Gun Hazard paternity comes in the form a player-blind mechanic that passively increases your strength based on your playstyle. The more you fly to avoid hazards, the longer you'll be able to maintain flight; the more you use your claws, the more damage they'll do; and the more you get hit, the more health you'll get! I mean, other things, too, like the general format, but its passive hidden power-ups were pretty much #1 on my to-do list. This was such a good idea.

I just tried taking out a reference to an unnecessary framework thing that would in theory require Visual Studio to be installed, so see if that helps. If not, CLR20r3 is apparently the general "I shat myself" error for XNA and honestly could be a graphics card thing. It should work on most integrated GPUs, but the integrated graphics quote kinda assumes more modern hardware so if you have a ten-year-old miracle laptop that's still working, I'm sorry to say it might not be compatible.

It's because I forgot you don't necessarily have to buy cards to get them
