I don't necessarily believe him either. But if he were the arsonist and did douse someone (you) why would he also claim to get doused? It doesn't even make sense for 2 people to get doused, but it would be a really dumb move for an arsonist. Derp, our night cop's flip said they only got information about items relating to their role, not alignment. So yeah I don't believe you.
