At least that's how I'd look at it.

Once the set number of people had entered, they competed in an actual battle royal until two people remained (at which point the battle royal turned into a one-on-one match). Despite being widely lauded as one of the worst matches of that (or any) year, TNA held another one sometime later. I had to write one of those for the TEW thread and I have never forgiven them
