There may be something I'm forgetting, though. Project: Red is good, I use it often for controlling multiple machines or complex systems from a few ComputerCraft computers. There is also Blue Power, which I prefer actually. It seems more polished although a few things like the wireless redstone are still WIP. I never played RedPower but Blue Power has 3 types of wire, analog, digital and lossless digital. I have no idea what the difference between analog and digital actually is in terms of redstone signal but there it is.

I've been playing with Buildcraft a lot lately - and it's really made me appreciate the TE ducts in a new way. Coming from EnderIO ducts it does seem like a step down, tech-wise. But after making 12 different types of pipes, realizing that hooking up straight RF to a wooded extraction pipe will just drain your power endlessly, having use iron pipes at intersections and wrench them in the right direction and then seeing items still go the wrong way and just dump out onto the ground... I have to say I was really happy to make a servo and pop it on and have it just work. And the signalum retrievers being able to keep a certain stock of items in an inventory? Amazing. To do that with BC you need logistic pipes and gently caress if I could ever figure out how to get that to work at all. Also, Thermal Dynamics really has EnderIO beat on filtering options. I do like EnderIO for the most part but christ if I don't hate needing mobs heads and a slice and splice just to make a decent filter.

The auto refilling stuff is dumb, I think. If you're building something how hard it is to just put a few stack in your hotbar? I usually turn it off from inventory tweaks just because it bugs out so much. The real feature for the backpacks is the automatic pulling of stuff like cobblestone or ores. That way when you go mining you aren't just filling up your inventory. My favorite backpack mod is Backpacks! because it can suck items automatically from your inventory based on a filter and then be placed in the world to pipe things in and out of.

I agree with everything Glory said of Buildcraft... but still think it's fun. Think of it as BC pipes being analog and TE ducts as digital. Setting up the BC ones can be fun. Iron pipes to direct stuff, diamonds to filter, obsidian to void, gold to speed up, clay to insert... I think it's neat. Sometimes.

This was actually a fix for a different problem. Mystcraft calculated instability based on default ore gen, so if you changed the ore gen at all, then all mystcraft worlds would be unstable by default. Now it spends some time figuring out what the ore gen actually is and basing instability off of that. Still terrible.

I think Greg has given up trying on interfering with other mods because he is so busy making Gregtech 6 into an unplayable nightmare. Only copper, tin, zinc, lead and bismuth will smelt in a furnace. You must use one of these metals to create a burning box which you must fuel and ignite manually (no GUI). Then you have to make a crucible, it goes on top of the burning box, to smelt any other ore. But at what temperature? Well... so glad you asked: Gregtech Wiki posted:Proper management of temperature is crucial to the Crucible smelting system. Exact temperatures can't be determined until building Thermometer Sensors, which requires Steel. However, recipes can be followed "blind", or new recipes can be created with some math. Fuel use can be planned out for a given smelting operation if the properties of smelting materials are known. Melting point, boiling point, and mass of material components can be shown with enhanced tooltips (F3 + H). For example, the tooltip for Crushed Copper Ore will show two components, Copper (1.222 units) and Stone (1.0 units), along with melting point, boiling point, and mass for each. This is just to smelt anything other than those 5 metals. In addition, instead of good old EU, Greg has decided that Gregtech actually needs 9 types of energy. Greg posted:Air Units, Quantum Units, Magnetic Units, Light Units (Laser), Kinetic Units, Rotation Units, Electric Units (directly convertible to ICē EU 1:1), Heat Units and Cryo Units. I've been keeping up with it because it's so awful. Still in alpha, but if you started now you might have steel by the time we have a white president.

This was my inscriber set up on the FYAD server. A giant block. Here's the guts. Bottom 4 inscribers are for the circuits, top four are for making the processors. All connects to a chest, with a import and export bus on it for auto crafting. Just dump some stuff in there, and bam you got processors.
