LogisticEarth posted:Beyond the Mind's Eye. Basically a showcase of late 80's early 90's CGI put together to some rockin' synthetic keyboard tracks. I had a VHS of this when I was like 8, can't remember how many times I watched it: "Beyond The Mind's Eye" was the second in the series. The first was, of course, called "The Mind's Eye". It is pretty cool to compare the entire series and see how far we had advanced between each one. No storyline, just CGI and music to look at it by.

I can't find too many videos for the actual QuestWorld portions of the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest but I was on deployment recently and someones mother sent a whole box of DVDs and one of them was a Real Adventures screener copy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UweoBqSChCg The intro was awesome but actual QuestWorld was just awful. It made me appreciate The Venture Bros that much more though.

Jetfire posted:Definitely not crap: Short Circuitz. The first one reminded me a lot of a video I can't find. It was music made entirely from falling and bouncing objects, e.g. a ball or several balls would drop into the scene and bounce of an upright object, then to another, and so on, each object making a noise as it did. Styro the dog is quite well stylised for the time. It's actually visually fun, like a cartoon, which is quite impressive of the time (93 to 96 I'm told). ozza posted:The intro to Kingdom O' Magic was legit the most mesmerising thing I had ever seen when I was 12: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB6qPSMeWNc That was like watching a Gary's Mod animation but from the 90s. My childhood and early adolescence was pretty much ruled by Microsoft Kid's 3D Movie Maker. I find myself saying "I DUNNO I'M A CHEESECAKE" when I'm frustrated at work, hoping in vain that someone will know what I'm talking about and prove that I didn't waste my childhood idolizing Enriched Enlightenment and Diabolical Delightment (which is legitimately awesome considering how labor-intensive it was to make "good" movies in 3dMM)

The Stained Glass Knight from Young Sherlock Holmes. Thirty years later, and it still looks baller as gently caress. Took four months to render from ILM and John Lasseter from later-known Pixar, and is the first instance of a completely CGI character in a movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOsxXi-tu_U&hd=1 You Are A Werewolf has a new favorite as of 03:54 on Jun 8, 2015 |

I forgot about Normality. Crap pre-2000 CGI and pure 3x distilled 90's all in one package. Has anyone ever played this game? I never did, I just remember seeing it never move from the shelf at the old Babbages I frequented as a teen before Steam became a thing. I think it was a point-and-click adventure.
