I currently use Google Voice. I LOVE that I can:

- Read and write text messages from my computer.

- See missed calls and check voicemails from my computer.

- Receive texts of voicemail messages.

- Receive email messages for every text. missed call, and voicemail message.

However, I wish to get rid of Google Voice, for several reasons. (It doesn't work that well with Windows Phone, and I suspect that call quality and latency suffer due to calls passing through both cell networks and google's VOIP service).

Is there any alternative? So far, the only thing I have found that might work is Verizon's 'Mesages' feature. However, since I do not have Verizon, I do not know how well it works.

Line2 is something to look into; not sure if you can port but it should support all the things google voice does.

Pushbullet works perfectly with an Android phone; I'm not sure if it works well (or at all) with Windows Phone. GV also has much better integration with Hangouts and Android now - you could try picking up a Moto G for cheap and see if Android would work for you.

What if Hitler invented the BMW i3 Subcompact Electric car?
I just want to echo Pushbullet, if Pushbullet said tomorrow that it will cost $100 I would pay for without a second thought.

Seriously, if you use Android and aren't using Pushbullet install it right this drat minute, it is absolutely brilliant and I'm honestly kind of shocked that Google hasn't bought them yet.

Pushbullet doesn't exist on Windows Phones, you can probably stop recommending it.
