So, when I saw the commercials, I thought this was a cheap (or at least sleazy) attempt to cash-in on anonymous (the masks, etc). But I'm hearing some good things. Is this not the case?

Watching this show on USA is really jarring when you see all the advertisements for the garbage looking soap opera shows in-between. I always catch the last 2 minutes of the show before Mr Robot and it's always the same two guys arguing.

So there's basically two options here:
Mr. Robot is actually Elliot and he's just projecting his father's image
Mr. Robot is actually Elliot's father and he faked his own death playing on Elliot's mental issues to kind of just swoop in and as long as he didn't say anything Elliot wouldn't realize what was going on.

I'm kind of leaning toward the second as he is noticeably older than in the pictures, which would be an odd detail for a crazy person to come up with.

Or is it both??!?????

There really is a fair argument for both

I thought that scene made more sense if it was Elliot's Mr Robot speaking to Tyrell. Them being allies, the secret being his framing of Colby for "revenge". The sequence afterwards with Tyrell talking to his wife about Elliott seemed to enforce that... But who the gently caress knows anymore

I think there are scenes where it makes a lot of sense for it to be head Mr Robot (the loving STAIRCASE scene and showing up at Allsafe) and for it to be real Mr Robot (when he pulled a gun on Angelo).

There are a lot of exposure now it seems, the FBI will be all over her and Eliot now that their case is in jeopardy; no way they let this go, especially with their connection, and now her seemingly wanting to cash in on it with a legal suit.

It doesn't seem worth it, unless she was playing the executioner and wanted confirmation before dropping the hammer.. I doubt the character is seeing it like this through; her plan just doesn't make sense to me.

You missed it in the last episode. She wanted Colby to testify that he was present in the meeting where they decided to cover up the illegal dumping in exchange for her testimony that she broke chain of custody with the DAT file.

I'm assuming Evil Corp is then liable and has to payout against the victims, but ultimately I think Angela is just doing it for closure. This sort of brings about a parallel between what Angela is doing now i.e., lying and destroying AllSafe for her selfish reasons with what Colby/Evil Corp did (lying and destroying lives for selfish reasons). OK, maybe that's a stretch.
