I read about awful hate club /r/fatpeoplehate getting banned and I was hoping I'd see the most pitiful and hilarious event that sometimes comes after these things. I was right. They threw a huge fit and posted their awful content on major subs across the site and then had folks comment 'God, what a fuckup. They destroyed their playpen and now their ruining everything. Reddit sure screwed this one up!' that were transparently former subreddit guys, and lots of other people talking about how important, positive and good fat shaming was.
I love it when awful people get so worked up about their awful causes to try to stage some sort of grand stand for themselves and everybody gets to see how terrible they are when they aren't getting patted on the back by their own awful ingroup. It's great stuff. See the thousands that embarrassed themselves and alienated friends and family in gamergate.

my favourite part in the debacle were the people who kept brining up terrible subreddits that's still around, but at the same time just had to throw in some casual fatphobia into the message. like "why the hell is r/[someracist/sexist/paedo poo poo] still around you fat fucks. die of a heart attack" and so on

people on reddit just like getting outraged/upset, if i had to guess 80% of the userbase doesnt give a poo poo about any of this though
when i get on reddit i usually just visit http://www.reddit.com/r/smite and the default funny/picture reddits, maybe personal finance and fitness or running
