Origins is considered canon by Knight and referenced as such within the game. The demos have made that clear repeatedly.

I have to say that I like how the Arkham Knight will be testing your predator prowess throughout the game, forcing you to make different moves. That's really cool. I was hoping TYGER would do something like that when City was being talked about.

I'm a bit iffy on the Batmobile so far. It seems to be shoehorned into a lot of places that don't necessarily require it. The chase with Firefly reminds me too much of GTA for comfort. I can't help but wonder what the reason for Batman doing races with Riddler is. Hostages again? Just an excuse to make Riddler even more neurotic?

Yeah, some of those Batman trophies were BS. Catwoman's were easier to get. And the trophy number in Arkham Knight is 243, which is three more than were in Asylum.

I found out some details on GameFAQs. I saw some stuff on Instagram that confirms this.Blackfire posted:MASSIVE SPOILERS Joker has a very big role in the game. He's still dead but batman see him a lot through out the whole game with joker commenting on events and areas. Joker is literally in batmans cells because of the blood thing from arkham city. There are also 4 fake "jokers" who are also suffering from the same thing batman is and are turning into joker. Later in the game you play as joker in batmans head and even get a joker mobile. The final boss is scarecrow but the real final battle happens in batmans head with him fighting joker. Ive seen videos an pics of some of this btw and i was asked not to share find cawitachi and pm him and he'll send you them. But note some have been taken down since yesterday the rest is from the twitter leaker Goddammit.

I guess Black Mask won't be doing anything important. In gadget news, apparently Batman left the REC and Shock Gloves with the cops. They're on display in the evidence room, with Aaron Cash saying he feels secure having some of Batman's gadgets there. Naturally, Batman breaks the display and takes the former back.

To be honest, the whole draw of the Arkham Knight was who was under the mask, a plot that was raised and resolved in this game. I don't think he was ever going to be really major aside from that reveal. I don't remember if someone on this site said it, but I kind of wish the Arkham Knight's identity was unimportant. Much like Joker always says he doesn't care about who is under Batman's mask because that's not "the real him", the Arkham Knight could've been the same way. Sure, it wouldn't have been wholly satisfying, but I don't really think they could have satisfied with his identity to begin with. Either it really is a comic book character or it's some original character from the series. And there's no original character in this series who has been presented as able to fight Batman seeing as all of them are regular cops who get clowned by the villains or asylum doctors. One shown in an Arkham Insider video required Batman to drive his car onto a nearby rooftop, grapple over with a hook, shoot a bunch of the rooftop chimneys in the way, navigate over in tank mode, and then use some kind of gadget to make the trophy accessible to Batman. Not sure if they're all like that, but that's worth keeping in mind.
