Tanner and Sara Lee both own, so of course WWE will handpick Alex and Dianna no matter who the fans vote for because they have the look.

Hank as a bitter wrestling blogger in 2025: "Just because he's been the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for six years and is the top merch seller in the company surpassing John Cena at his peak and puts on Meltzer 4.5*+ rated matches every week and is a crossover media star with the universally acclaimed promos in the business doesn't mean he's better than me."

Next time you see Chris Jericho on this show, listen to how he pronounces "WWE" (or go back and watch his parts of the episode). I've seriously never heard anyone say it faster and smoother than he does. It's like he makes it a one-syllable word.

Yeah, that's literally what Full Sail is doing with WWE. NXT production staff is generally student/alumni work hired straight out of the university.

Dianna might be the most useless contestant to ever be on this show. From the first episode she was talking about wanting to plan her wedding and be with her fiance, and then a couple weeks later she did exactly that. What a waste of a spot that could've gone to literally anyone else.

They criticize Sara Lee about stepping up her personality, but Amanda blends into the background way more than anyone else. Sara Lee could easily pull off a Bayley-type awkward or kid-friendly character.

Just watched Tough Talk and I agree with the people who said Patrick is phony. Everything he said is a canned response, and he stops just short of saying he's learning "The WWE Style". I wouldn't doubt he wins the contract just because he already knows how to manipulate the system and kiss rear end.

Yeah a lot of the conflict feels highly manufactured in a trashy reality tv way and I couldn't be less interested in 90% of it. I'd rather the show spend time showing the contestants having fun and showing personality outside of the challenges rather than just people talking poo poo and having fights about who won what and who thinks who should leave, especially when the studio portion of the show is mostly about that already.

Aside from maybe Jackie Gayda cheating on a guy in a hottub in season 2, this season has probably the most trash TV feel to it so far. They're clearly goading them into talking poo poo about each other and coaching them about how reality shows are made, because I've never seen this much meaningless bickering over such minor things on Tough Enough before.

Back in season 3, they completely shied away from showing anything related to Lisa's psychotic break that took her off the show, and they were extremely cagey about the details (she was just gone one day and they said "her mind gave out before her body" and "it wasn't for her"). Season 6 feels like if that happened again they'd spend an excruciating amount of time on it instead.

Details for those not aware:

Pro Wrestling Torch posted:

She started throwing herself against walls and had to be talked down from jumping off the roof. When her parents came to collect her, she physically attacked them, claiming she didn’t know who they were. She then escaped custody in Los Angeles’ LAX airport, causing a whole wing to be shut down while she was found. Lisa was subsequently checked into a psychiatric facility, but checked herself out, and called the Tough Enough producers, saying she was ready to return – that’s when she was told she had been removed from the show. Lisa surfaced at Ohio Valley Wrestling, saying she had been told to report there by WWE, which wasn’t true. She even managed to get backstage at a number of WWE shows in September of 2002, helped with setting up the pyro for a TV taping, and reportedly even had a face-to-face conversation with Vince McMahon, who didn’t know she had been on the show or her psychological issues. After that, a photo of her was circulated to security at every venue WWE was appearing at to make sure she was barred from the building.

It's one thing for Bryan to say that the business is not about big guys because he has proved it, but for Patrick to specifically reference Hogan when he's the judge of the show? Oh boy... Hogan was right that there are still big guys in the buisness, and you need to learn to work with them

Yeah, a lot of this (probably manufactured) tension surrounds the idea that most of the contestants force themselves to be #1 in their performances at the expense of others, but without focusing at all on teamwork. Wrestling is anything but a solo job, which is why I think the ones who work better with others and don't ruffle feathers might have a better chance (at least at getting cut later if not winning). ZZ and Sara Lee in particular don't get involved in the bullshit drama and just want to learn, where everyone else is fully of catty/macho posturing.

Patrick: Hogan, you wrestled in the territories for a long time before making it here. Bryan, you came up from the indies. And Paige, you... came up!
Paige: Also through the indies.

Patrick and Mada will get offers, no question.

It really does seem like there's a lot of forced drama though, and knowing how reality shows are produced you can really tell they're coached on some of this. Start drama here, fight with someone there, etc. I'd be shocked if there was ever a scenario where every guy or girl was eliminated but one before the end, because they want it to be a competition to the end.

It's honestly no surprise that the one guy who got his start in reality TV before wrestling always supports the one who causes the most reality TV drama over wrestling ability. Meanwhile Paige who's been wrestling since 13 and now treats the other reality show she's on like a joke consistently values talent over drama.

Miz's whole argument about babyfaces and heels doesn't hold up when you consider it's "go away" heat Amanda is getting.

I don't even really know who Paige or Bryan would save, unless it's to both eliminate ZZ by proxy. Neither of them seem really high on anyone. Paige kinda likes Gigi but I don't know if she'd save her, and Bryan's just sort of whatever about everyone.

It's weird to think that this show would be quite different if Ho Kogan didn't say racist poo poo on a tape, or even if it had been leaked a couple weeks later. Also it's funny how as the season goes on you can see ZZ gradually running out of Swamp Wisdom. It's like he pulled a Lawler and memorized a book of 1001 sayings.

For this week, Paige really wants to boot off Amanda first so I'm sure she'll be gone this week, then next week we'll probably see a bottom 3 of ZZ, Sara, and either Tanner or Josh with Bryan using his save on the latter so the fans will be forced to choose between ZZ and Sara, and I think Sara edges ZZ out at this point.

ZZ has got personality too in spades, obviously. And more obviously he needs to sort his fitness out. But there's a great lump of clay you can work with and mould there.

Honestly if he ramped up his cardio he'd be about in the same shape Husky Harris was in when he first got a contract. Bray's still heavy-set but he's in much better shape than he was, and since ZZ's already got the swamp redneck charm down he'd be a perfect Wyatt follower once he's got some conditioning.

He's been gradually slipping in the fan vote for a while. He coasted on his goofy charm at first but then as more people called him out on it he just plain ran out of stuff to say in his own defense. I'd respect him a lot more if he owned up to his laziness instead of deflecting with swamp wisdom.

Josh/Sara isn't a bad winning combo, especially if several of the rest get contracts or end up somewhere like LU.

What else can you do at this point for another woman then? They've built up 3 stables in a major rivalry to the point where a singles wrestler coming in would be buried unless they did. Plus it would make several more potential rivalries to have more in the mix. I'd agree that they don't need more IF they were already doing something with the unaffiliated women already on their roster, but they're not with the exception of Summer Rae being in a non-wrestling/ECW catfight role. If nothing else another trios stable would at least make three more women consistently visible.
