Goddamnit, I know they probably won't do it, but it'd be so perfect if we got the Robby Gordon Stadium Truck from Horizon 2 and they added a Long Beach with the ramps and such from the real race there. It shouldn't even be that hard to do. (And then we get 20 goons to race there in Bugattis )

The clusterfuck at the fountain is pretty much how I expect multiplayer races to go there. You bump your way through and piss people off, or you get rammed from behind. There's no other option.

Well, they share assets, so any cars in Forza Horizon 2 have a high probability of making it into Forza 6 (ie the same people make the cars for both games). Playground Games makes the open world setting and throws those cars into it.

I think we're at the point where detail is about as high as it's going to get for cars, at least the models used in the Forzavista mode. The only areas that could improve are graphical things in the actual game, like anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, texture resolution for custom liveries, etc. The car models themselves are pretty much flawless, even up close to where we're looking at tiny screws and rivets. And yes, since Forza 3/4, they've been using the same models, just upped in detail and increased poly counts, or added visible engine areas for Forzavista (like the Ford RS200 off the top of my head) L_Harrison fucked around with this message at 18:00 on Aug 7, 2015 |

hmmm, wonder what those 'Mods' are exactly. I guess they're extra challenges that you can 'equip' for races to boost up the difficulty, perhaps for a cash/xp bonus? I guess you can collect them too, sort of like Burn Cards from Titanfall.

I'm sure it takes time to develop the rain and night versions of the tracks separately, so that might've been all they were able to get around to (focusing on the priority tracks). Having just one rain track will be worth it so I can go into a 24 player hopper lobby and watch 23 clueless competitors go sliding off into the wall in turn 1.

Mods sound fun. People just hate fun I guess. Besides, it's only for single-player, and you don't have to use them. Though, hopefully T10 realizes that some of those Mods could provide an unfair advantage for leaderboard times, too, and never lets you have a clean lap if one is engaged. Edit: Oops, just needed to read farther down. "Career lap times that feature Mods will be classified as “dirty” when appearing on that event’s Rivals leaderboard." Well that's good.

It still boggles me how Forza 5 changed random stuff for no reason over Forza 4. Everything is sorted by manufacturer and decreasing model year by default, and you can't permanently change that. (Want the traditional style of increasing PI? lol not possible. Only decreasing PI from left to right, and you have to select that every time you enter a car selection menu). And use the trigger to 'skip' five manufacturers, or something. Going one by one is just a pain.

The season pass will definitely be available separately, probably around launch time. Expect it to be $40 I imagine, just like the one for FM5. (Though it's ~$20 if you buy the Ultimate Edition)

One thing I'm hopeful for is that the DLC car packs include more new additions to the Forza series instead of updated X360 era cars like F5 and FH2 did. It seems they've exhausted much of their catalog from the previous games already to make up the roster for F6, so ... one could hope.

They definitely could, but I just don't see it happening. I'm going off the previous Forza demos, none of which had actual multiplayer as far as I know. Only leaderboards. There will probably be around 5 cars and a couple tracks with the different weather/night conditions, and maybe a few mods thrown in I anticipate. Anyway, we'll find out soon enough.

Everything in the Ultimate Edition is cheaper than buying all the content separately. But, like every other game, you can wait and get it cheaper. The real question is, how badly do you want to race with 23 other goons on Nurburgring at night in cars that have no headlights? (Lotus E23 deathbowl commence. Last survivor wins)

^ Yes (Forza 6 pre-loading is available now) First Impressions here: The driving feels great. Compared to previous Forza titles, the tires have more give to them, so you suddenly don't find yourself sliding sideways without grip with no warning. You can push the car and flirt with the edge of control, while not losing a significant amount of time speed wise. In previous games, it always felt like you were trying not to go over the edge. Now, you can pass the edge and bring it back under control without too much penalty. From what I drove, curbs also handle more realistically. You can somewhat attack them and not prepare for the car to become instantly unbalanced. Again, it seems like all the cars have a bit more flex to them. They don't handle like rigid shoeboxes without tuning. Loading times seem quicker than Forza 5, and the pre-race interface is mostly unchanged. You get more bonus for not using the assists, which is nice. (73% for me, compared to the typical 50% in Forza 5). The female announcer from Forza 5 is back, so if you didn't like her in that, well ... Visually, it's not all that different from Forza 5. The cockpit view has been pushed back by default a bit, and the near chase camera is now more like the traditional far chase cam. So, what about the original far chase cam? It's even further back. Tire smoke has improved. Still plenty of aliasing, like in Forza 5, especially at nighttime when the lights are illuminating all the crevices and contours of the cars. But in some cases, the graphics look worse, like at Indianapolis when looking down the long straights. Also, despite the changes to the infield course of that track, the oval is still awful and mostly unchanged from Forza 4/5. In other words, it's that same bumpy, mountainous, too-wide mess that's completely inaccurate. Oh, and the indycars smoke the tires during a lap there. Because Forza reasons. It just looks silly. Rain is pretty fun, and visually looks great. (The rolling fog near the surface is loving incredible.) Driving-wise, it has more grip than I thought it would, but the puddles are just loving stupid. Especially at a flat track like Sebring. They're just placed in random rear end locations to annoy the poo poo out of you more than anything else. And of course they never change since nothing is dynamic. So basically you have to memorize the track and learn where they are, because some areas the clean line is reduced to one lane. In other areas, they cover the complete track. There's a fast corner as Sebring that has it all the way across, and it's just really silly. In other words, they'll be hilarious in multiplayer. Oh, and the post-race nonsense is skip-able! TL;DR Lime Rock is great. Indy oval is still a pile of poo poo. Slight graphical hit. Rain and night are mostly fun. Better physics. Drivatars still drive drunk. Rio and Lime Rock will have huge rear end wrecks in multiplayer for sure. I might also be #2 in the world on the Lime Rock Rivals event.

Yeah you can go straight to Rivals after completing the demo career, though you still have to adjust the assists and everything else each time you load it up. Also, it's a pain restarting each Rival event just to only get a chance at one lap. But the real game is only a week away so whatever. And Turn 10 has come out and said that there will be no microtransactions in Forza 6 at launch. Zip. Nada. That could change (like around Christmas when those rich 10-year-old brats get Forza from their parents and want all the loving Mods available), but for now no. Edit: Also, the Rio course reminds me of the Macau street course in some areas and I expect 24-player online races to go exactly like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzU3M-run0o Edit 2: And, someone discovered a photomode inside the demo: Dewstain on Forza forums posted:So I found a hidden way to snag pics from the demo. And a dynamic wet track has shifting lines. Forza 6 just has the same grip everywhere on the racing surface (minus the puddles), just a little less grip than the dry track. So, you brake a little earlier, get on the throttle a little less aggressively, and that's it. You run the exact same line and swerve to avoid the strategically placed puddles to annoy you.

I don't know if adding movable tires was a good idea either, because you can crash into them and get them out of the way (like in the chicane section of Rio). Then, you have a straighter line through to turn a faster lap without getting it dirtied. It's like they didn't think this through very well.
