With full turtle and a flairon, you can beat the hardmode Fishron. Even got to level 15 of the pumpkin moon with endgame gear, but there aren't new goodies.

Also you can fish, dungeon crates. So you can get dungeon loot, vary useful in multiplayer. I like that addition a lot.
