A few thoughts after catching up this morning:
1) I can't believe they ran the race last night
2) :catstare: :catstare: Austin Dillon :catstare: :catstare:
3) Restrictor plate racing is dumb
4) Hope no one was seriously injured, and I'm glad Dillon is okay.
5) Everyone won bingo

VikingSkull posted:

You could keep the plates and engines as is, cut the spoilers an inch and harden the tire compound. Make the cars unstable in the turns and have potential speed become higher than mechanical grip. That should keep drafting in play as the cars would be even faster on the straights, but you wouldn't be able to peg it through the turns. The second they have to lift as a requirement, the packs will break up.

Yeah but then fans Will Bitch about lack of pack racing. So long as there are fans in the stands they won't break up the packs.

Well, yeah, that's the main problem. I mean, we wouldn't want bingo to go away right

I guess the thing I don't understand is why they wanna keep the packs. It's not like they give a poo poo about the on track product at any other track. It's a liability having cars fly into the stands once a year.

Leave it to the trucks. Give them a couple more dirt tracks, and make it a mini-championship.

This is a good idea, and would definitely up ratings for the series. Which is in my opinion the best of the three at the moment.

Went to the derp track last night.

I guess Matt Crafton and Kyle Busch are going to run there Wednesday night for the $60 grand purse.

Only one guy got thrown out of the track. They run a rule where if you caused a yellow you go to the back and everyone else who spun/crashed get their position back. When that happens they hold the car with an official at the opening to the infield. This dude got held and after the field cleared and they let him go he did a burnout while holding up a middle finger out the window and got kicked out.

Doing a burnout with your middle finger out the window is how everyone should celebrate a win. Even though the guy didn't win, he had the right idea.
